after owning this for a while now i figured it was time for a review. Setup is simple once you read the manual. When the camera's are all pair you have plenty of modes for when you are home and away. you also have nice features to program certain timing and playback. app works good with phone/tablet and also your computer. make sure to get a pair of extra batteries after heavy usage they do tend to lower in power and can always be a good thing to have a spear. Overall great product and gives you a very warming peace of mind.

I have had the Arlo camera in our home for about a month now. The quality of the video is excellent. The camera has the ability to record but I can also open the camera on my phone and stream live video. I rated the camera a 4 simply because I have one camera in a high traffic area and it gets a lot of use. This is causing the battery to drain quickly. In a month, I have used approximately 60% of the battery life. This is not discouraging one bit since I am more concerned with the quality of the video and not battery life.

Great camera with easy set up. It could use more features but considering it is battery operated it does a great job.

I am very happy with this purchase. If you have two houses it seems you need two different emails using two of the same apps. It would be nice if you could see both houses on the same app.

Incredibly easy to install and use. Picture quality is much better than I expected. Batteries are still at 86% after two months. Our attic has many inaccessible areas that would make running wires too difficult. The completely wireless Arlo system does not require any technical skills to install.

Cameras easy to install, suggest buying the screw on mounts. clarity is good Works fine once I got them configured

this product is amazing i can be at work and watch everything that goes on in my house i can zoom in and out record pause rewind save it is amazing...now the down side i had the batteries for 14 days that came with the device it said they would last for 4 months...not ...... now i have to order new ones blahhhhhh

it is probably the easiest camera system to set up an few on line controls could be I'm proved. the no wires and on line set up is fairly simple compared to cameras I've set up in the past

It has been a little over a week now and I wanted to take a moment to update you about my Arlo system. I did absolutely forget to mention one more important aspect of the Dropcam, which is AUDIO. The dropcam offers very accurate and sensitive sound detection. You can customize the sensitivity and even hear the faintest sound. This means the dropcam can also be set to record audio constantly, or begin to record once sound is detected. The dropcam also features a basic low quality output speaker, which you can talk through using the Dropcam app on your mobile phone. I actually tested the feature and spoke with my wife who was at home, while I was overseas on a business trip using wifi and my mobile app. It works very similar to a walkie talkie. It does not work like a normal phone conversation, instead, only one person can speak at a time, like a 2 way radio with a delay. This feature may only be useful for monitoring a pet "OFF the Counter!!", lol or maybe reminding your child "Do your homework!". The Arlo does not have audio, but I knew this going in, so it is of no consequence to the Arlo system's score. I simply did not use the audio feature enough on my dropcams and forgot to mention audio in my original review. It's a great feature, but for my purposes, audio is not a priority.

I was looking for something simple to install, easy to understand and user friendly and ARLO is ALL THE ABOVE. When I thought about it, ADT and other security monitoring companies charging monthly fees are going to call 911 once they are alerted, it's not like they are coming to your house to investigate. I paid for ARLO system one time, set it up, download the app and I can monitor my home myself. ARLO alerts your phone to the slightest motion. A moth moved into the view of the monitor and I was alerted. Night vision quality is excellent, ability to record 10 seconds of motion and store in the cloud. It's worth the 4 camera system and purchase the extra monitor stands.

I needed to replace my old security camera system and after much research I choose this one. I'm glad I did. Simple to install and best of all its wireless. You can practically place them anywhere you want. I placed one on my tree that is located in front of my house. You can't go wrong with this system.

These are good cameras, the only thing that I didn't like are the batteries, their life is arround 3-4 months and they are expensive. For surveillance are good but only if you program them because they work if they detect movement, but if you want them for that, I would recommend other cameras, because you will spend to much money in the batteries. I bought them, to watch my kids when we leave them with the baby sister to see if she responds quickly when they cry at night or how she is with them. For this I would recommend them.

We purchased these for our warehouse and they are as cool as they sound! The one issue is that you can not control when you are notified about motion. You can control when motion is active but not when the notifications are pushed to you.

Perfect if you are looking for a reasonably priced security system. We use it indoors for pets and outdoors for visitors. Clean, sleek modern design. Cameras are not obtrusive. Wireless monitoring via tablet or smartphone. Set up in about 40 minutes. One minor complaint would be that the batteries seem to run down fairly quickly in the two cameras we used most often.
