I'm not a techy guy, but the Arlo was easy to set up. While the cameras are light, the double stick tape didn't last too long on the wall so using 1 wall anchor is the way to go. Each camera takes 4 lithium batteries, with a run-life max of around 6 months, so over time can get a bit pricey especially if you have 2 or more cameras. But overall, clear pictures and the 1-week free saved video is cool. I can highly recommend!

Devours batteries, too many false positives

Really good video images. Super helpful online support. WAY too many false positives when using email movement detection mode. Camera "barks" at everything. Very easy to set up, activate and adjust. Absolutely DEVOURS very expensive cr123A lithium batteries when full-use modes are activated. I manage to extend battery life by intermittently activating Arlo from one of my devices when "I feel like it" rather than having it on constantly. For my needs, that method works out ok. Additional cameras are almost as expensive as the initial set-up. Beware! Overall, user friendly, good internet support, prohibitive battery expense, good visuals, so far, camera seems to be weather-resistant. I recommend Arlo as long as the potential buyer understands the shortcomings mentioned above.

The recordings were crystal clear and the night view was excellent. More than enough recording space on the cloud. The cameras do require lithium batteries, they are not rechargeable.

The night vision is on point like how night vision should be. The camera has a bad delay/lag by 3-6 seconds behind. Quality was bad couldn't make out any faces from 15+ ft away. Didn't record anything from 15ft + away from my dinning room to living room didn't record until I was 10ft infront of it. Not worth the price honestly. Battery's lasted less then week. Need buy a lot more battery's for it The cameras are good if you wanna check up on your home from far away using the app . And the cameras are all wireless.. This is the Only reasons I like it . I do recommend it to people but Quality needs upgrading.

I wanted some cameras to remotely keep an eye on our home. While we have an alarm system (which occasionally goes off) and I could keep an eye on the inside with these cameras, I was more concerned about things like a water pipe bursting, that would not trigger the alarm system. I did A LOT of research, read A LOT of reviews and I'm convinced there is some reviewer sabotage across some of these sites. We have 4 cameras, some placed inside and some placed outside that have been active since March 2015. The cameras are small, easy to hide and with the magnetic backing and being wireless, very easy to mount (virtually anywhere). As of today, the batteries still have a full charge! There is some discussion across some of the reviews about battery drain, which while expected if you place the cameras outside in the cold whether, we have yet to experience. We also use the devices as suggested - for motion detection (not continual monitoring/recording). That is, we only record when motion is detected. And when it is, we get simultaneous indications on my phone, my wife's phone and via e-mail. This was a terrific purchase that if you're looking for this type of product you shouldn't think twice about.

I really Like this setup overall. It’s does why it’s supposed to as long as all the cameras are in range of your WiFi network. The picture/video quality could be better but you can pay for a better setup for that. The biggest issue I have is that it doesn’t come with rechargeable batteries and a charger or a way to just plug up the camera to charge them. They give you 16 CR123a batteries and once they are dead you are at the mercy of spending an arm and a leg for 16 more that will last you maybe 3 months or having to buy the rechargeable ones and a charger. It does the job and will record when it detects motion which is a great feature. I love being able to login to the app and monitor from your smartphone while your not home. Overall this is a good setup that I got for a good price and it does exactly what I need it to do. Just hate the issue with the batteries.

Like this camera, quality but the batteries die very quick. The sensitivity varies and needs to be played with otherwise it turns records when the wind blows and when adjusted doesn't track everything. It is a good camera for surveillance but not 100% reliable for turning on if/when something happens. Not sure if there is better but I couldn't find it.

Pros: Easy to setup, easy to mount, no need to run cables, and works as expected. HD video is also an excellent feature. Video compression is great - 10 sec video is less than 1MB. > 90 degree angle video. Cons: Night vision is limited to 20'-25' to detect motion. No audio.

A little expensive, but the Arlo performs as advertised. Love that the cameras are wireless. There is no audio, but the picture display is clear. I am able to use the app on my Samsung phone and Apple IPad.

Overall the cameras are very easy to install into Mount. The problem that I have is with the delay. It does seem that once the motion is activated to record that it's about one second or two to late to see what triggered the motion unless the actual " DISTRUBANCE " is still in the field. Adjusting the sensitivity , is also something I'm still working on. On a windy day if you have any kind of shadows from the trees etc. it tends to set it off. This might be something that all motion detecting apparatuses have as an issue with but it seems extremely annoying with the Arlo. The only other thing I wished is that it had two-way audio which I understand Arlo just came out with an updated camera to take care of that which I have to look into. Overall I would recommend this if you just want a basic set up for visual observation and you don't want the hassle of wires, this being a huge advantage to Arlo.

Drawbacks; battery life, not a wide angle system, expensive. But, doing the job I bought it for. Picture quality is very good. Be prudent and buy the system with 2 more cameras than you think you need.

Install is easy as downloading the program, plugging in base unit, positioning cameras & turning them on. Sync to base unit is easy/quick. Only issue I'd like to see changed is the limitation to cloud storage. An option to store on a personal harddrive with WiFi connection should be an easy product revision. Already accessed it trans-continentally Fl to CA.

This is a very complete system. The 720p makes it very easy to clearly make out whoever may have malintentions around the house. This is a very easy way to make sure the kids arrive safely from school, keep an eye on delivered packages and surroundings when away from home. The night vision works flawlessy and lends peace of mind while the famiy is sleeping. I've already recommended this to other family and friends. You wont be disappointed!

This system was real easy to setup. The picture quality is great. The app works perfect. One of the great features is how you can customize recordings for each individual camera. I already added a fifth camera to the system. I have them pretty spread out around my home inside and out. The signal strength is really strong. The battery life so for is great too. Excellent system for someone looking to invest in a complete wireless security camera system. Netgear really did a good job on this one!!!
