The setup was so easy! The clarity is great! The mobile app for my IPhone 6 is awesome. I can check in on my house while I am at work. The motion sensor on the cameras are great. They alert me on my phone whenever there is someone at my door. The wireless feature is the main reason I purchased the Arlo system. The only fallback is the kit only includes one outdoor mount, but it does have eight indoor magnetic mounts. Overall, I am very pleased.

Camera does a great job of recording, the quality of video is nice. The best feature is that it is wireless, it is easy to set up on your home network and all the features on the app make this a great first camera

    Too expensive

Purchased four pack of cameras; one would not sync to the base. Had to pay for shipping to return back to Arlo. The cameras are not quick enough to pick up motion on a low motion detection setting (they will start recording almost once the subject is out of frame). On a high motion setting it is easy to get 40 recordings of trees moving within a couple hours (annoying if you have alerts coming to your phone). There isn't a good balance. I also had trouble setting up timing for the cameras to come on and off, so I do this manually. The set up is really easy (if all your cameras work). Get alerts to your phone, and store on the cloud. They take lithium batteries, so they work without wires. The cameras are small and lightweight. Good video quality. If you have problems, you only get 90 day phone support with Arlo, and then they charge you. In my opinion, they are too expensive for what they are.

I absolutely love this camera. It was so easy to set up, It's so small and portable. It has two small bases so you can move it. (They are magnetic) However I have also used it in inconspicuous places so it can't be seen (ex: on chair legs, table legs, side of fridge) So kids wouldn't see it and so maintenance people won't also. The only downfall is the price, being on a budget it will take a while to be able to afford another or more cameras.

I was a bit conflicted about this product after reading many of the reviews posted here. I can say that this product works very well for the price and would recommend this for anyone who is looking for something that is wireless and can be installed within minutes. The setup is so easy - it took me longer to tinker with the camera angle than it did to actually get it up and running. The picture quality is very good and I love that you get (for FREE) your video clips stored in the cloud for 2 weeks and you have the option to download the clips offline and store them forever. The app integration with iOS works very well, you can download the videos into your photo album without issue. The motion alerts from the app are immediate on my iPhone. Despite what I read about the battery, I've had my Arlo in action for almost 2 months and still have more than 3/4 battery life. Not an issue at all so far. The motion technology and delay are the only drawbacks, but for me, they are minor. The motion technology in this camera (basically IR) does produce about 5-10 false positives a day caused by shadows or who knows what. Its worse on sunny days and better on cloudy days. And there is a brief delay before recording starts, probably about a second or two. A few other things to note: (1) make sure you adjust your motion clip length to something longer than the default 10 seconds. I found that 10 seconds didn't capture enough and what would often happen is that I would get multiple clips from the same event. Simply extending it to 30 seconds helped a lot (I think you can go up to 2 minutes) and (2) the camera attaches to the mount using magnets. Its great that it is very adjustable, but I would consider getting the tamper proof mounts (sold separately) as it would be very easy for someone to steal the camera if it is within arms reach. In summary, if you are looking for inexpensive, easy install and to get it up and running quickly, this device works great. If you are expecting the same level of technology and responsiveness as a full security system, be aware that there are a few tradeoffs.

Great video quality, wireless feature and easy setup, but no audio can be heard from live view or recordings. I plan to look further into this, as I just purchased a few days ago, but so far that's my only complaint.

I purchased an ARLO system with 2 mic'd speakers with audio and 4 video only cameras to watch my home and to keep an eye on and talk to my dogs when working 3rd shift. There is a delay with all of the cameras but video and audio is clear on each. The system is perfect and reasonably priced, for my needs at home, so I bought a second system for an investment property that I had for sale. It made keeping an eye on my house 500 miles away easy to do and reduced a lot of stress. I would recommend ARLO systems to my friends. Batteries on the wireless video only cameras are not cheap and need to be replaced regularly depending on how much the cameras are used. The mic'd cameras plug into an outlet.

Easy to use and setup. Best thing, NO WIRES can be seen on the camera. Only on the separate router that can be placed someplace else. I had it going in less than 10 minutes setup time. The app allows me to see what is happening in my home currently. Also can set up alerts if motion is detected. Video Quality decent, unless less light is available, and then there is night vision mode too. Happy with my purchase.

This thing is really cool and can see clearly during the day, i have it for normal regular use not super monitoring or security as i like to try new gadgets and stuff. It does what it says but only thins is battery life and some reception loss here and there . Good for someone wanting wireless view were you cant run cables thru would recommend but just a the single one to see if you like it instead of buying the whole set and then not wanting it. It is free for the basic feature which are great but you can also pay for a plan to add cameras. -1 star due to a lag on the connection at times

This is a great HD camera with a very nice picture. The ONLY thing that I don't like is when you adjust the motion it doesn't do any good and still picks up cars that drive by the house. Good night vision too!

Had a few problems setting up, but was able to do it eventually. Now works really well. Great access through Netgear site and iPhone, with no fees. Pretty easy to steal, but not that big a problem for our house. Was the best product we could find for what we wanted.

Motion activation on wifi takes too much delay

Motion activation on wifi takes too much delay time to start recording so the action has already passed by the time you are able to see it. For example, if a car or bicycle passes by, I get maybe a glimpse of a bumper of back tire. It is not feasible to replace batteries constantly (and way too costly) to record all the time. Arlo would be great indoors if you have no pets (or, again, the costly batteries!). Has very easy setup and great picture but the 15 ft distance for motion activation is definitely not enough. I would recommend but only for the circumstances mentioned.
