After a few months, I have to say I am impressed with the Arlo security camera system. I was concerned with the picture quality but that was put to rest after the fist time viewing it on my phone. The only thing that is keeping me from giving 5 stars is the delay. There is a small delay from when you would think it should be recording and from when it actually does start recording. For example, from the side, I walked at a fast pace in front of one of them camera's and it started recording when I was half way in front of it. I haven't played with all the settings yet so I don't know if that can be adjusted. Since I have 4 cameras already I don't think I will be buying more but if I do I would definitely buy more of these.

Love that they are wireless, 3 months and still haven't needed batteries, but I can see that being annoying eventually. Only complaint is that the motion won't pick up things farther than 15ft away, and the outside motion always goes off due to shadows, very annoying. Wanted to find the dog squatter in the yard but since the motion goes off very 2 minutes outside it makes it impossible. Last complaint is that when it does catch motion it's usually later than wanted so it often misses the part that you need.

The Arlo camera system is easy to set up and install. The magnetic mounts are simple and hold the cameras securely even during heavy thunderstorms. The basic free service app for the iPad doesn't work very well, but the computer web page is great and easy to use.

Super easy to install, good night vision, good video

After using Arlo for about a month I find it to be great for its intended purpose. To keep a watchful eye on the house while you are away. the ios and web app make remote viewing easy. The motion sensors and alerts need a little tweaking. Arlo is easy to setup and you can get it running in less than 10 minutes. Enjoy.

Support could be improved. One of my cameras keeps loosing night vision. Same advice given for a temporary fix (reinsert batteries). When asked for steps to warranty camera given another step. The last one I received was move the camera to another location to see if night vision stays on. Makes no sense. Moved the camera same problem. Frustrating. "Friends" also have problems accessing the camera even when granted access. Support responded that it is a known problem but no follow up n how or when it will be fixed. Overall system good. Dreading the end of support when the night vision and friends access not resolved.

We purchased this camera for a general security camera for a property that we occupy six months a year, to view when we are gone. We like the face that it was easy to install, remotely controllable, and somewhat programmable. It is wireless, and does not incur additional storage charges. The only challenge we have had is trying to adjust to reduce/eliminate the false alarms. Long grass blowing or trees swaying continued to set it off, as did a car reflection in the window as it drove by. After many days and many adjustments, we hopefully have found a good setting.

It took longer to unpack the items than it did to set up a working system (not counting the time it took to mount the magnetic bases - which were VERY EASY to install). Quick, easy setup with nice software. Camera motion sensors seem to have a slight delay capturing the end of an event (as a car pulls into the drive way, it won't start recording till the car is almost out of view), but that may be a setting I haven't figured out yet. Software is easy to work with, but just a little buggy as it will hang when trying to set up certain modes or schedules - not a deal breaker in my opinion. This system gave me exactly what I needed for when I'm not home - peace of mind and some idea as to anyone that is on my property - and it was VERY SIMPLE, very quick to install, and easy to maintain. Oh yeah - the batteries are holding up very well- something I'd heard were a concern from some users, but i figure the money I save on not having to pay for cloud storage or monitoring way offsets the cost of a new set when it comes time. I've had my system about 6 weeks and still have 80-85% battery left. Great job Netgear!

Best purchase ever!! easy to install, wireless, can mount just about anywhere -indoors or outdoors -even bought the extra one so that I can talk to people at the front door when I'm not at home - can see everything clear as day on my cell phone -app is awesome!! SERIOUSLY GUYS, Buy this thing -it's a perfect !

My wife and I have been looking for a fully "wireless" security camera since we moved into our house two years ago. We purchased a camera a year ago that claimed to be "wireless" but ended up returning it because we had to wire it to a power source. Arlo has been great for us and exactly what we wanted. Fully wireless, my wife and I can access it from our phones, and the batteries has lasted 2 months with no problem. The video quality is good, but could be better. It's got good detail at a distance but when you zoom in faces are not that recognizable. We really enjoy the schedule function and having everything saved in the cloud. I would recommended it to anyone, in fact I already have to multiple friends and family members.

Works well in low light. Able to see images very well. Have not used record yet. The ease of moving camera is very nice.

I really like this camera but it's really hard to get the correct senor depth. We have gone into the settings to adjust but it either picks up most cars driving by on the road or it's to shallow and doesn't pick up in time. We set the setting for 30 seconds but when the system send us an alert you can not view until it is done recording for that 30 seconds. I do like that it send me alerts to my phone and I can watch it live. Purchased this item a month ago and so far it works great. Hope we don't have to replace the batteries too often. One of the batteries says it's already at 39%. However this is the one that picks up several of the larger cars driving by. The entry way one says 77%.

clear in the day time lacks brightness for any distance beyond 30 ft at night. easy to set up well worth the price we paid.got the system within a week! well satisfied

I am satisfied with camera system but batteries lasted 2 to 3 weeks only and are expensive! I bought 4 cameras. Three show excellent pictures one has a red tint. I have to investigate that issue.

Crummy size batteries. If you have motion set, and kids in all day on a rainy day. The batteries last about 2 days! What junk. Connectivity is good. Motion does work well, and a good picture. Easy set up is nice. All in all the battery life , and size batteries killed it for me. If i could take them all down and return it i would

Easy to set up and because it's compact and wireless, there are a lot of installation options. Use the included bracket or mount or can be attached magnetically.

Simple install (about 20 minutes for four cameras), good detail, work well in low temperature. It comes with extra mounts, so you can move the cameras around!

I love my Arlo Smart Home Indoor/Outdoor Wireless High-Definition IP Security Camera. I got this to add security to my home, and it is perfect! The image is super clear, and I get alert to my email and phone any time there is a motion. It also records the motion so I can see what exactly the alert was for. I am very picky about the products I get, and I am glad I went with an Arlo security camera.

Motion sensors are not always consistent in what they pick up. Battery life is average at best. I change them about every two months. Image quality is excellent.
