These cameras were very easy to set up and install. Once set up they worked great. Can easily view any camera and record at the touch of a button or have it set to auto record when motion is detected. Overall I am very happy with this produce. It works like advertised - something that many tech devices fail to live up to.

These cameras work very well. We have the four camera package and each one works very well. The one we have set outside turns on everytime a car drives by. That tends to use a large amount of that cameras' batteries. Yes, each camera takes batteries. But we have had our cameras up for over four weeks and the lowest battery level so far is at 2/3, which is the one outside. It records around 200 cars driving by each day. So annoying. I have even turned the camera away from the road to no avail. Oh well. Its good, we really like them and would recommend them. Thanks

These were a breeze to set up. Only issue is when you add additional cameras it is sometimes difficult to match the motion sensitivity settings of the original group of four. Had mine a month now and battery still shows at full strength. A bit pricey but much easier than other IP cameras I have tried.

All I want to say is the best wireless camera. The only Cons is that it takes about 2 months to replace the battery and cost about $5 each, so No too bad though

Good, easy camera system with definite limitations

When I purchased this system, most of the other systems on the market were from legacy security camera companies that required extensive wiring for each camera. I wanted something that was much easier to set up and that had an easy web interface/smartphone app. Arlo definitely fit the bill. With battery-powered cameras, it's easy to set up the cameras wherever you want without any wiring. But this comes with some obvious tradeoffs--the batteries need to be replaced somewhat frequently, and in order to conserve battery life, the cameras only record snippets when activated by motion or sound. It's a decent product for what it is, but now that Nest has released their outdoor camera, I wish I'd waited for it instead. I would prefer the quality of the video, constant recording, ability to hear/talk back, and ease of the app for Nest, even if it would require some simple wiring. I'd really only recommend Arlo if you absolutely need a completely wireless system and are okay with short snippets of video without sound.

Great for low usage but if you plan on heavy usage I would get a plug-in camera and the battery doesn't last more than two weeks if you're using it daily

Very impressed with the ease of setup and the performance. Couldn't have been easier! I wish the exterior was black or dark gray and not white. I have to drape something over it so it was completely hidden.

Easy to set up inside and outside my house. Camera quality is not bad. Cant complain compared to other quality out on the market. 4 stars because of the battery system. I wish there was alternate source of battery. Batterys cost about $12 dollars online to replace, a set of 4 of them, battery last about 2-3 months depending on how many people and how often you view the cameras.

Not a bad camera system. Would've liked if the cameras had less of a delay to start recording when motion is detected. But overall good.

These cameras were very easy to setup and have been reliable to use. I like that they are portable and can be moved anywhere in the home. We purchased these after a home break in. Now we are alerted on our iPhones whenever there is movement on our property and able to quickly view what is happening while we are away.

These camera's have great picture and easy playback. It gives almost instant motion detection alerts to your phone or computer for peace of mind. Great product with no wires, set up took less than 30 minutes for 4 cameras. Thinking about adding 2 more!!

Great camera system! It’s not the pro where it comes with rechargeable batteries. So get some rechargeable for the Arlo. Super clear HD!

Excellent choice, I was in Best Buy trying to decide which cameras would be the easiest to install and start using asap because we have had a few break ins in our neighbor hood and I spotted the Arlo, I purchased them and had them up and operating the next day, no wiring how simple is that? Have already recommended

This is basically your only choice for outdoor wifi enabled security camera. It's rapid battery usage makes it impractical for continuous use, though.

A decent set of camera's compared to hardwired models. But does not have audio and the motion sensor really only works when very close to the cameras.

If this & my Amcrest cameras got married and had kids, maybe they'd have the perfect camera. The Arlo is small enough that it doesn't take up space, has decent video quality and a good app. It needs its own router, whereas Amcrest connects to my wifi without extra equipment. But Amcrest is wired, so it has to be near an outlet. My main gripe is the battery consumption. With a meter, my batteries show anywhere from 2 1/2 to 3 volts (the max), yet the app tells me I'm down to 3%. When the batteries reached 2 to 2 1/2 volts each, the camera wouldn't work. The CR123 batteries are expensive, I don't want to keep buying them. The cloud service is good and inexpensive, compared to Amrest's pricey service (I FTP my Amcrest videos to a website that I pay a meager monthly fee for).

The Netgear Arlo is an effective camera system especially if you are looking for a wireless camera setup. Setting up the cameras and the base station was easy. If you are looking for a 24-hour surveillance camera system then I would not recommend the Netgear Arlo due to the use of batteries as the power source for the cameras. Extensive surveillance will consume the battery power. The picture quality produced by the cameras is clear and has an HD quality to it.

We bought this for indoor monitoring. Easy to install, took a while to fine tune the mode but once we did we have had no problems. So far we have had the cameras for about a month and our batteries are still almost full and we use it every day.
