Quick and easy to set up, I used the optional external mounts for outside ( one free one comes in the box) and rather than add more holes I used 3m picture mounts to put up the internal ones. The internal mounts work well, picture quality is very good both during the day and at night using the built in infrared lights. The external camera batteries missed read their battery status once they are hit with real cold weather (there is supposed to be a firmwhere fix coming) but they actually work fine. The mobile app is good, easy notification and video playback. One moan with the app is that it takes along time for the 'mode' change option to come up, so inveriably you end up videoing yourself parking, entering he house etc. As these cameras run of batteries they are not designed for areas with continuous activity, they are a spot an intruder or have a quick look what's happening live devices, with this in mind a nice upgrade to the app would be an option to turn the cameras off using the geofencing from your cell phone ( or Bluetooth detection). This would also suit the video playback and cleaning up better, i.e. Have the system just record activity you want to see. Overall a great product and unbeatable in terms of easy cable free installation.

The ability to install wireless security cameras is a convenient and practical feature of Arlo by Netgear, who gives you this in a beautifully designed and fairly easy to install system. Arco is positioned for small commercial or residential installations with light usage requirements, where running wires, extension cords, and installing outlets isn't feasible. If your system needs to be available but not run continually 24x7x7, Arlo will meet your needs. Arlo's design is sleek, attractive and well thought out, particularly the rounded magnetic mounts that make it easy to adjust, move and remove cameras. The 6 magnetic mounts plus one tall mount allow you to adjust your coverage area. A well designed app or website enables remote monitoring or adjusting. Set up was very difficult until adjustment was made to router settings with the advice of the (Arlo) Netgear rep who refrained from vendor finger pointing and helped me figure out what to do. Remaining on hold for ten or more minutes was rewarded by getting a very professional, responsive and knowledgeable representative who remained on the phone until everything was working. There are a few downsides: Wide-angle camera lenses are forward facing only. Once the subject is out of range, you can't view anything unless your next camera(s) are placed accordingly. (The system supports one more camera.) Installing the cameras in well thought out locations should provide an alert to problems and deliver useful video. Battery power is a trade-off for not having to run electricity to each camera. Adjustments are available to conserve battery life. Two small display signs are included to alerting others to the presence of security cameras. Your local municipal codes govern proper use of your system and placement of cameras.

Easy hardware installation and network setup. Only activates on motion detection (not optimal). High-traffic areas -- heavy battery use, but it's acceptable. Great interface for viewing and controlling the cameras via browser / mobile app.

This camera is perfect if your looking for wireless needs. And also if you need the camera to notify you once there is motion detection. The day and night picture quality is good. The only disappointment is the battery life. That is why I give the product 4 stars. I've had the camera going on a month and I am at half battery life. I've read on the Arlo site that battery life depends on usage. Normal usage is about 4 minutes per day and battery should last 4-6 months. I could say at first I was using the live feed a lot and I had the recording at 30 seconds once motion was detected. Now I have made adjustments to my needs. All in all I am happy with the purchase.

The quality of the picture is great. Motion sensors work well. I've had them for a little over a month now, and the original batteries still show full strength. I love the fact that they are totally wireless - I can place them wherever I want without having to run wires. The setup was effortless. I was able to have the first camera setup and recording in under 15 minutes.

First, yes! This is the ONLY system that is 100% wireless! We needed a small, inexpensive 4+ camera security system. We did not want any wires, no wires for battery, no wires for camera hook up. This system is just that! But, there are a few tricks and tips that every new buyer should know! #1- The system comes with 4 cameras and one outdoor mount. I bought 4 not seeing that the package came with one. #2- You must read ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE DOING ANYTHING! I usually read about 85% of instructions because most things are self explanatory. Set the system up as they tell you, takes less than 30 minutes for the least experienced person. When installing the batteries...TAKE NOTE HERE.... When I first installed the batteries and put outside they showed near dead within 2 hours! I was peeved! BUT!!! After looking on forums I found a solution that now has my units less then half depleted after over 2 months, even in severe cold Midwest weather. If you hold the camera unti with the eye away from your body, you will install the batteries from left to right, starting with the ones closest to you. I tested out this method and I'm not crazy, it works! If you need to change your batteries remove them but wait until the unit is dry and room temperature before installing new ones. **Also, the app doesn't always tell you the truth on battery life. If you question the battery life, best option to exit out of the app (or log off) and go back in. #3 The clarity on the videos are really good. Suggested that you have a light on near the unit, it does help. Night vision is pretty good as well. For you typical recording, it will catch the mailman driving by and record for 10 second spurts. Easy to go through the videos and delete daily. I do not keep videos more than 1 day to save time and probably space. But your preference will be trial and error. All in all, for the low price compared to wired camera system, we are very happy with it. AGAIN...THE ONLY SYSTEM THAT IS 100% WIRELESS! NO WIRES TO PROVIDE BATTERY POWER. NO WIRES TO ROUTE TO MAIN SYSTEM.

I love this wonderful System. The install is a breeze and in less than 30 minutes you have 4 cameras mounted and monitoring your place 24x7 with no Wires and no power cables. With no monthly fees, no server charges, and everything is in High Def full color. You can monitor or record and it's in real time. I read all of the reviews, but I've had no issues and they work flawlessly. Plus since they are magnetic so you can move them around all you want in seconds. Just follow the instructions on how to best install them for maximum usage and you will be another satisfied customer. Worth every dollar I paid.

The picture quality is not 4-K but is really good for a wi-fi camera, it's fast as it sends you motion alerts within seconds of detecting motion (and records for 10 seconds automatically), you can view live cameras or play recordings from your computer or an app on your phone, there is no subscription fee on first 5 cameras in relation to saving recordings to the cloud, you can download permanently any recording that you want within the 7 days it is automatically saved for, and the wireless connection allows you move the cameras easily if you want to monitor different locations on different days. Amazing, easy install, and all around great camera!

The Arlo camera is easy to install...both the app and mounting was super simple. The video quality is good or good enough to see generally what's out there. I love that there are no wires to deal with. My only issue with it is that the motion detect is not super reliable. Sometimes a shaking branch will set it off, other times a delivery person can go in and out "unseen." Overall, a good buy if you're okay with the limitation.

What I like- Easy setup, no wires (except for base station to your router), syncs 10days of footage to your phone, and quality of hd footage is decent day/night, arlo app is easy and free on any device allowing you to view your footage from anywhere-without an expensive subscription(unless you want more than 10 days-as footage cycles out. I like that you can turn on/off all cameras from the arlo app, view live footage from the app and keep an eye on things with ease(as long as your batteries don't die,mine last about a month, cameras with light use can get 2 months) I like that all my outdoor cameras survived harsh Chicago winter with ease. What I don't like- Batteries run down quickly, had to buy rechargeable kit at Amazon, because Best Buy didn't carry. Also, you have approx. 800-1000sq ft to link to base station before you lose sync, this was no good for a third camera I purchased over my garage as it was too far from the base located in my basement, I don't like that there's a delay in the footage, approx 5-10 seconds. You can request "live" footage but then batteries really drain and it's more of a "look in" as you can't record live footage using the arlo app. It only records 10-15 seconds when triggered by any motion. A windy day and camera picked up grass blowing in my yard and set my phone arlo alerts off so much I had to turn camera off. Overall for the price and no monthly subscription, the three arlo cameras serve the purposes I need. Which is 100% to keep an eye on all my entry points at home, while I'm gone. These cameras could work for business with low foot traffic, but otherwise you'd be changing batteries every 3-6 weeks and unhappy with delayed footage. Not sure if the newer arlo pro version addressed all these concerns? Hope this helped you-

Battery was low on one camera. There is a delay start time on the recording , and wish the recording was longer. Thou great picture and ease of installation.

I purchased the 4 camera Arlo security camera set. I have owned it now for a few months and so far I am very happy with the system. The system is a wireless system not wired surveillance system. If you are looking for a surveillance system that video records 24 hours a day this is not the system you should buy. This system was designed as a wireless system which means the cameras run on batteries and the cameras record only when motion is detected and it does that well. The only issue that I've seen with the system is that it takes a second or two for the cameras to actually record once motion is detected so when you see the recorded video sometimes the subject that triggered the camera has already moved out of the view of the camera before the camera can record it. My wife and I traveled to Texas last week and using our smartphones we able to keep an eye on our house very easily.

These are great security cameras. I got them for use outside my house and there haven't been any problems. Even at night the videos are clear. Occasionally a bug will trigger the motion activation, but that's only been when it's almost on the camera. You can adjust the sensitivity as well. Very easy set up. I loved that there were no wires. The only downside is that I can't set different settings for each camera individually, like turning off the motion activation in my back yard while keeping the front one on (though I may just not have found out how to do it yet).

I have had many cameras before, but this by far has been very easy and quick, and very reliable. Not a fan of the batteries, but love the no wires!

We were looking for cameras for awhile when we found arlo. The fact that they are wireless is amazing. Easy to mount and the system was easy to set up and get working. Great picture quality for such a tiny camera. Blends in to the wall nicely and the motion detecting features work great. Would highly recommend!!

The hardest part of the set up is plugging ARLO into your router after that it is all plug and play - pairing the cameras to the control unit is simple. The online APP in very user friendly. Via the app you can turn each camera or all cameras on or off, set up record times and adjust distances. Suggest turning the cameras off when you do not need them in order to save the batteries - it only takes a second via the app. One last suggestion is to mount the cameras where it is easy for you to get to them when it comes time to change the batteries (the app lets you know when the batteries need changing)

Easy set up, love the wireless just wish it was easier to navigate online with. Only 1 person can be logged in at a time so if you are both away you cannot log in and look at the same video. Wish the picture was closer and not so panned out, great range but difficult to tell what it is The "library" when reviewing your videos is extremely frustrating when you have multiple cameras, i have 4 and sometimes 2 things on difference cameras will not record at once

Excellent camera for security and surveillance. Easy set up. No wires installation needed. Wireless. Great night time picture quality. Only downside is 1GB storage which will run out in 2 days.

This is a great camera and it works very well. It's great to get notifications sent directly to your phone. Night video can be a little better, but the video taken during the day is great. Installing is very easy and takes minutes.I have to say that the batteries drain very quickly, and it can get very expensive having to buy batteries all the time. So far I'm having to buy batteries every other week. I contacted the manufacturer in which they sent me a new unit, and I am still changing batteries quite often. I recommend rechargeable batteries . I gave two stars because I have spent almost $120 in batteries which is almost the price for another unit. Overall great product in which I really enjoy.
