I was worried about the battery life on the camera but after 3 months of use it is still at full charge. I had one camera facing the driveway which also faces the street. Even after lowering the sensitivity, it would alert me every time a car would pass by. I had to move the camera so the street is not in view. The camera in the backyard would sometimes be sensitive to raindrops. I does take awhile to get things set up on the app but it very simple to use.

Having read mixed reviews varying from quick battery consumption to fantastic product, I decided to roll the dice and try Arlo out. I have owned the system for over two months now, and with daily activitiy triggering my front and rear doors of my house, my batteries are still above 50%. I am VERY pleased with this product, it's ease of use, and ease of setup. LOVE MY ARLO.

One battery died within the first 2 months. One camera just doesn’t want to stay connected. By and large, happy with the product. Looking forward to next generation.

The camera quality is good, the only downfall is that there is a built in delay and by the time the camera starts recording the person is gone.

This camera does as advertised. The batteries wear down kind of fast and you need fast internet to get smooth streaming. I had a little trouble with set up, but customer service was great.

These little cameras work great! They were very easy to set up and so easy to move around to different locations. The app works great too, letting me know when it detects motion. I had to dig a little to figure out where to extend the default recording times, but I finally found it and changed one of the cameras to record longer because I have it on my porch.

If you are like me and don’t like wires, this is a pretty good option, The only drawback I see is that it does not have two way audio and that is why I did not give 5 stars.

Netgear contiues to upgrade and polish the app. Range is good. The only negative is the CR123 battery however, the flexibility of the system is excellent.

I'm definitely impressed with these little battery operated cameras. The quality is great during daylight, but if you need to see detail during the night keep some lights on.

Lured by the promise of great things, and backed by a company I have used with great success for years, I purchased this Arlo Security Camera. No wires, 4-6 month battery life, 720p, night visions, and motion detection! It pretty much met all of my needs... at least the advertising met all of my needs. I have had several issues with this setup. First, the top few centimeters of the image stays at full resolution when I zoom in to look at something, may not be a big deal to some, but this shouldn't be happening in a brand new system. Secondly I have had multiple recordings that froze within the first 3 seconds and stayed frozen for the entire recording. Lastly, the batteries lasted me 44 days. That's right, 44 days. Not 4-6 months like they claim. Netgear support says it is because I have the quality set on high, and must have a lot of traffic setting off the camera multiple times a day. Even if that were true, I would still expect the 4 month estimate. Truth be told, I have the quality set on balanced between resolution and battery life. I will admit that it probably detected motion 6 times (average) per day. I don't feel like this is overly active and is something that would cause the batteries to die after 6 weeks. Netgear also says my 44 day battery life is "almost 2 months". Again, still half of the low end of their own estimate. They then move on to tell me my network must not be able to handle the camera (as a solution to the "lagging recordings" I was having). My Nighthawk keeps up pretty well with everything and is definitely not the bottleneck. They also asked me to move the base station and camera closer to each other as that is most likely my issue as well. Seeing as how they are already 30 feet from each other, I feel like that is close enough given the 300 foot range they claim (in perfect conditions). All in all this camera is not for me. I have already returned it for a refund and will not be purchasing this again. I have to recommend against getting this unit unless you have no other option and require a camera. It was a disappointing seeing all of their claimed specs fail... Try again Netgear... try again.
