Positive feedback also highlights the installation process, night vision, and the accompanying app. However, some users point to areas needing improvement, such as battery life and motion detection. After getting my packages stolen from my front porch twice, I decided to get a security camera installed, not wanting to drill holes in my walls I decided to get the Arlo, it was the easiest installation I've ever did. I recommend this product to anyone who wants a dependable security camera and very user friendly.

I purchased this camera to keep an eye on a new puppy in the house. The installation has line of sight connection where the camera is approximately 12 feet from the base unit (mounted on opposing living room walls). The camera worked fine for a few months and with limited use. I noticed the motion detection was a little less than perfect. It would occasionally miss the first motion of someone entering the room and then pick up the return trip and record. As this was not my purpose it didn't bother me too much. After using regularly to monitor the puppy I have had 4-5 tech support cases with Netgear. I have been told to do a number of "tests" of which there is no explanation by the support member how it will help my issue. My issue is the camera loses connection with the base station intermittently. This did not come out of the box like this, and has only been an issue for a month or two now. However, expect very little out of tech support. My recommendation is to stick to a camera that does not require a base unit. Tech support believed that the wifi in the house was interfering with the wifi of the camera. So unless you don't have WiFi in your house, expect intermittent issues. And when having these issues you are totally disabled, no motion recording and no remote viewing. On multiple occasions I have had to remove batteries to get the camera connected again. Not very robust.

Got this on sale and happy with it. The motion sensor has a little delay. Would have liked to have audio (which is available on newer models).

This was a multiple use surge protector that worked on the large plug-ins that I needed for multiple uses. Worked perfectly.

Love the fact you can set up easy a lot information online to answer questions. The online information for this is really helpful. Unfortunately the only problem I had Best Buy did not have knowledgeable employees selling this product. They could not answer the questions I had, and I also was given some incorrect information. The site for the camera gave me the correct answers. I understand that it is hard for an employee to know every product, but had to visit another Best Buy as the first I visit the employee had had no knowledge at all.

This is a great camera system. You can customize it to meet your needs. I love being away from home and able to monitor both inside and out of my house. So far, the batteries have lasted a pretty long time but I will have to change them soon which will be a little bit of a pain in pulling out my latter. Overall, a good buy.

This is good for both outside and inside. The set was easy and can be monitored on your smart phone. You can also give viewing access to the cameras to others. So far, we are very happy with the system. We need to change one location as we found we couldn't see exactly what we were hoping to see, but that is an easy fix.

The Arlo security system is easy to install and no tools are needed. You can move the cameras wherever you want and no holes in the wall or wires to run. Cameras are magnetic so stick to any magnetic surface. Sends you an alert when motion is detected.

Would be 100% great if the batteries can have 6 months of life duration and they have less the 2 months life duration. Also, the batteries are expensive.

I have Nexia and ADT cameras at some of my locations but ARLO is the best for quality and ease. It is exceptionally easy to setup and adding more cameras is as easy as hitting a button on the bridge and one on the camera. The range was fine. It says 300 feet and I have gone 200. Clarity is outstanding at 1080.

I bought this product to monitor my kids when they arrive from school while me and my spouse is still at work. Set-up is very easy and every thing works fine, connects to my router in a breeze, and the Arlo app for my iPhone is great. Been using my camera for more than a month already and havent encountered any problem.

cameras keep getting on and off line. customer service at arlo is sorry, i have to be resetting receiver all the time. if you are out of town good luck checking your cameras if they are off line , batteries don't last as much, need to be purchasing batteries all the time. don't waste your money if you can is worth it to pay for the regular wired cameras.
