This system was so easy to install and refine. We use it outside to watch our vehicles and the front entrance. It has great optics and the night vision is quite clear. I have even recommended it to a friend who was looking for a system for his store. I will be adding more cameras to improve coverage.

Good wireless camera system. Some limitations

This is a decent system. One advantage over a wired system is it's easy set up and can be done in a matter of minutes. What will take you the longest is deciding on where to mount the cameras. You can mount the camera on say a tree or other structure and then point it out to your target say your house. With a wired system you could do it but you would take a lot of wire and $$. So advantage Arlo. Another advantage is you can easily move the camera to a different location if you decide the initial location you set up the camera proves to be a mistake. Each camera has a magnetic back that attaches to a metal mount. You will have to mount a second mounting magnetic mount which is a breeze. Arlo is also good as a add on with another system such as Nest or Samsung. Each system works independently, keep that in mind. My biggest negative is the batteries. I have had my system now for about a month and all of the reviews say the two batteries will last around four months. This will depend how you use it as if the camera stays on 24 hrs a day you can expect your battery life will be substantially less. The other negative is the camera can simply be pulled off the mount so if your mounting the cameras outside mount high out of the way of thieves In summary this is good system with limitations but for the price I paid $399 (4 cameras) it's not bad.

Pluses - works off of wifi, no cables or electric lines needed Good app across several lines Good on-line support. Easy to install Drawbacks- no continuous recording or buffer. It only records after it senses motion (heat), batteries will need replacement every 4 months or so, need to use non-magnetic mount on exterior views if you are afraid of camera theft. Out of the box one camera had red tint from IR not turning off in daytime. Warranty requires you to pay for shipping defective equipment.

We have a camera we use indoors Foscam. It is a great camera, however, set up was impossible. I had to call someone to do it for us. We are using the Ario cameras as our outdoor camera. It was so easy to set up. Download the app and set up your camera. You can adjust your view and how long you want to record. So, the reason for a 4 instead of a 5? The batteries drain really fast if you have a lot of recordings for a long period of time. We've tried every battery.

Nice outdoor cameras with some quirks

Setup was flawed on my Android phone. I had to use the web interface, not very intuitive though. Once connected, the cameras work great and have clear video. It takes a little while to connect for live video feed but you don't want to do that too much anyway. It wears down the battery. Also, don't aim the cameras at high traffic areas like streets or side walks. I kept getting false alarms even though I couldn't technically see the street and sidewalk in the camera feed. I was under the impression that what I saw in the camera feed is what triggered it. I was wrong. It has a generic motion sensor built in that sees everything in front of it.

I purchased this product on the cyber Monday sale they were a great price for the four pack the only negatives I could say is the batteries die quick and they only come with one arm attachment which works better for my home I will have to purchase three more in order to use the other cameras but other then that we are happy with the quality

Overall this is a great camera system. The app is easy to use and setup is a breeze. I would recommend purchasing the screw type mounts so that you don’t have to re-aim the cameras every time you change the battery. I also have the Arlo Pro cameras and I personally would recommend them over these for the rechargeable batteries alone.

To start, the cameras only record at a maximum of two minutes per video. You will see, depending on how sensitive you set the motion detection and where you have them pointed, you're going to get a lot of videos that cut off at times when they shouldn't. If you set them to two minutes, but have 5 minutes of motion, it will only record the two minutes worth. They do work though and they're incredibly easy to install. Be careful! The batteries do not last long whatsoever and they can be expensive. They get the job done.

Easy to install and set up program. Additional use tips are sent almost daily via email and are very useful. I like how it's not too much information at once. The batteries aren't lasting as long as described despite using the lowest settings possible. Haven't priced the battery replacements yet as to the are not the standard sizes one has on hand.....

I like: 1. Picture quality and zoom capability 2. WIFI capability allows me to mount almost anywhere, inside or outside 3. I can relocate without the hassel of moving wires, and with the extra mounts I have had the flexibility to change the cameras positions several times Dislikes: 1. Batteries are not cheep to replace (be nice if they were common batteries) and do not last long if you like to look and check your cameras very often

The system hasn't been installed very long but so far it is working as I expected. Motion sensing works well but only up to around 15 feet from the camera. I tried pointing the camera out of a window and the motion detection did not work, I wasn't sure it would but wanted to try. The biggest question will be battery life. Time will tell.

Great Quality Camera, but i Wished It Would've Had Microphone like drop cam does..as soon as it hears noise it also records..also another thing that they could improve on is the zoom..no zoom!! Also, they only give u just one stand for mounting camera a different way...i had to buy rechargablle batteries, which were a little pricy.

I purchased these cameras as a replacement for the Nest Cam. This is a solid 4 1/2 star product. In fact the only reason I don't give it 5 stars is there is no audio. I have all 4 cameras hooked up and they work great and hassle free. I highly recommend this product!

We bought this camera because it required no wiring. This camera works with a wifi and on batteries. It gives a great picture day and night. Just download an app and watch on a phone or tablet. Only problem is the batteries don't last long and they are very expensive.

If you are looking for the ability to watch your home, office or small business - look no further than to Arlo. These little cameras take great still and videos in low light situations. I have not found a wireless system any better than this that puts you in total control. You set the cameras where you want them, set the motion sensitivity and there is even a scheduling mode. The peace of mind is well worth the investment!

What I like: the cameras are completely wireless. They have decent night vision and good video quality. Battery life is OK. What I dislike: the cameras tend to miss some activity. They also miss recording some activity that will display when you go into the app, but is not in the video library. Their tech support always has the same answer to any problems, remove and reconnect the camera. That doesn't work for me as I have cameras at remote locations to keep an eye on things.

The Arlo camera system was a perfect solution in adding to my existing video surveillance without the hassles dropping more lines. The web based control panel works flawlessly on both a mobile app and a desktop. You do have to tinker with record times and schedules to get a good balance on battery life. Recording too much will kill the batteries in about 2-3 weeks. Recording too little improves battery life but at the expense of not capturing everything all the time. The batteries can be a bit pricey. Look for bulk deals online or perhaps rechargables..

Works pretty much as advertised. Do have some false motion detectors but overall pretty good. Wish the rechargeable batteries were easier to find and also would like the video to not have as much of a delay (a few second) when triggered. But these cameras do the trick and as long as you know they are not on-all-the-time surveillance cameras, you will be happy.
