Works out of the box. Easy to install and control using my iphone. My battery is @ 2 bars with 1 month use. It seems that it's movement sensor is not able to detect its peripheral view in close proximity. i mounted higher than the recommended height so maybe that could have affected its detection range. Still happy with purchase since I can check the front of my house anytime and detects people coming in/out of my front porch. Hopefully with updates or future modifications by arlo, its movement sensor will be improved for a wider range and quicker initialization for video capture.

Very simple set up. I love the wireless and this allows me to watch the driveway, breezeway, and inside the house. It notifies me whenever someone activates the camera and records it for future. I can adjust how long to record and set up cameras for different times. At night, I just have the outside cameras on. The batteries seem to last a long time as well even though some have said this is a problem. So far, 2 months and they are still almost full. I like the night vision as well! Very cool product and when I have showed friends, they have bought these as well.

720p is okay; Horiz view angle is ok; Vert view angle not so much. Setup with and use of app is great! Truly wireless, no need to climb through the attic to wire it or run power. Motion detection and video start has some delay, sensitivity adjusted which helped. Cloud storage is great. Battery usage TBD (2 weeks in). Overall, with simplicity at the top of the list of features, this makes for a good system for basic home monitoring that's expandible, though a little costly. It's too early to say (2 weeks) whether it deserves more stars or not.

If you are looking for a totally wireless system, this is definitely the best choice. We didn't want to have to do any complicated wiring or have to drill into the outside of the house in order to have a good security system and this is exactly what we needed. Though the camera mounts come with screws, you can go to any hardware store and get outdoor super strength double sided tape and it will be just as effective. We have them up around the outside of the house and the quality of the video is fantastic and the motion detection is spot on, it just takes some time to get it right for your situation. We haven't had any issues with connectivity and the online interface is great. If sound is something that is really important to you then this won't be the system for you but it didn't matter for us. Great item for a great price.

First, do your research and understand what you are or maybe are not getting with this product as well as others. This system works very well, and does everything it says it is supposed to do. I purchased this system because I liked the idea of the all-wireless approach to put up a couple outdoor cameras, don't really want any inside, feels too invasive. Anyway, the batteries seem pretty decent, my first camera doesn't see a lot of traffic, probably 5-10 motion activated videos a week, and after 5 weeks now the battery is still showing full. But beware, the documentation does not say anything about being able to integrate with anything else or even IFTTT, and at this time it does not.

Good system for the price. Camera video is sharp and clear and the wireless range is pretty good. Very easy setup. Was up and running in under 5 minutes.

It actually took about the same amount of time to set up as it took to get it out of the box. Camera placement was easy with supplied mounts. A little disappointing there is no app for Windows phone, but I knew that going in. Laptop or tablet are just as effective for set-up. Email alerts are very good, but quite delayed from actual movement trigger. I would like to see a text alert.

The cameras are very sharp with picture detail. Camera range can sometimes be an issue. Also battery life can be short if motion is detected frequently.

I really like my Arlo security system! Only thing I would want added to the system is rechargeable batteries. There are some out there if you can find them, but Arlo should make their brand and sell them for the system. I like the push alerts that Arlo sends to my iphone or tablet. I feel a lot safer now with this system. Also it is very easy to set up. Good job Arlo......

The Arlo cameras show excellent picture. Only 2 issues - Battery life is not great (depending on the settings you select). Often picks up false motion (depending on the settings you select). There is no way around either of the issues. You want to record as much video as possible if the camera senses legitimate unwanted motion. But, longer clips drain your battery. You want to have the camera set to a high motion setting to detect any unwanted motion. But, high motion setting often picks up shadows, wind gusts, and bugs.

Pros: easy set up and install, no wires. Hardest part for me was finding a place where to put it, because without wires, options are unlimited. Bought it in the summer (about a month ago) and it's working great. The new update for pinching to zoom is good, even though when you zoom the picture is not that clear. Cons: No sound, a little video lag, range is not as great as they claim (my router is not that far from the camera, maybe 25 feet away, and sometimes there are only a couple of bars showing in the connection setting). One thing that I'm not sure is how this little device will withstand the winter. I'm concerned that with the weight of the snow and the winds the camera will lose its place and perhaps may even fall given that it is just held by a magnet. Yet to be seen. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase, even though it is on the pricey side.

Awesome that it is wireless but the batteries will add up when replacement calls. The picture is really good with a slight second delay from camera to phone app when viewing. Works great and is a good value! Thank you Arlo!

I have to say I was skeptical about this camera system. But after installing it I was very impressed with the clarity of the camera including the night vision capabilities and ease of setup.

Great quality, occasionally fuzzy due to wireless. Batteries last 3 months if heavy traffic and 6 months if light traffic. Great quality for the money. Easy to use app and simple install.

I like this product it works as described and is easy to set up. The main reason for choosing it was because it's wireless. The picture quality is great! I only wish the movement detection area would extend a little further (when recording).

Love the system.. aside from the occasional - cannot view live issue.. and the quick battery life. It eats up your batteries like crazy but otherwise very clear and great camera.

This has been an outstanding purchase thus far. I just needed it to be able to detect motion (and record) and to be able to view live cameras at my house. These cameras have worked extremely well. Others have noted that sometimes they take a few seconds to start recording. This is true, but it hasn't been a problem thus far, and it doesn't happen all of the time...many times it starts recording the instant it senses motion. I have 3 mounted outside and 2 inside. While Netgear states that they are weatherproof, I have them mounted at roof level on the eaves of the house so that they are protected from the elements. Living in CO, we have already had many nights in the single digits, and a bunch of wind. Even though they are only mounted with magnets, these cameras haven't budged, and they haven't been adversely affected by the weather at all. Finally, some have complained about the batteries. I've had them mounted for 6 weeks, and all of my cameras still show full battery strength, and that's with a fair amount of motion/recording. In summary, I think these cameras have been outstanding. Works as advertised, and the wireless aspect of them makes them super convenient to set up and easy to place wherever you need them. I'll be adding more over time.

very easy to setup and learn how to use and set times etc. on cameras. I was up and going with in 30 minutes on all cameras and it even tells u when battery is low and when they need changed! Very clear picture and can even turn on to see what is going on when your out of town. They are awesome!

I'm very satisfied with everything but the battery life of the cameras. If you have a camera in an area with a decent amount of movement, you will be changing the batteries every few weeks. Out side of that, the product is great.

Although a little pricey the system is easy to set up and provides a clear picture. The flexibility of no wires makes camera placement wide open and better than other systems. I installed cameras inside and outside with no effort.
