My Father has the original camera system from Netgear and it worked great. I really liked these cause they were battery based and weatherproof - made it simple to install the cameras wherever I needed them without having to run power wires (this in itself was huge for me). Quality is great - easy to program - easy to remote in to see the cameras securely.

I wanted a security system to monitor my office, particularly after hours. After speaking to an IT guy about the costs of a "professional" install, I was ecstatic to find this low cost option. Took me less than an hour to install 4 cameras and hub without help. AND I'm not what you would call handy! Email notifications of movement on my phone and ipad are great! Has a WIDE angle lens and lights up with nighttime movement. So far so good!

Nice product, cameras have a solid feel. Super simple initial set up. Can get more complicated as you dial in the sensitivity, still working in that. Did notice a motion detection delay as others have mentioned, hopefully with fine tuning it will get better. Not super happy with the magnetic mounts, but they do seem solid. Have one camera that's been stuck to the light on the side of my garage for two weeks; hasn't moved and works fine.... Overall I'm a happy customer so far.

Where do I start. Pic at night not that great. Only one user can watch at a time. Battery life is horrible. Each camera takes 4 3V barriers $22 per camera for barriers *4 cameras = 88. If you set them up with frequent motion you will need to replace monthly. That's a lot of money. But due to my house they are the best fit.

I bought these camera due to the easy set up without all the wiring. The camera is easy to syn with the based unit and you can place almost anywhere you wanted with the mount that come with the package I have been using it for a week and everything is working correctly. The only thing that I do not know is the battery life since the battery is quite expense. However, the convenient justify the cost depending on what you want.

I bought these because we wanted cameras we could put outside our home that were wireles. We have another system inside with wires, and getting them set up outside was a pain. These were on sale and had good reviews so I bought them. They were easy to set up and install. I get notifications when motion is detected. Works great. I haven’t had them long enough to know how long the batteries last.

The system is great and provides good video. It is very well suited for indoor applications. It has limited range away from the base station and burns batteries quickly.

It was easy to set up. Took me only 20 minutes from start to finish. The pictures are exceptionally clear. Logging into the system is easy. However, the mobile app loads slowly if in a 3G or less area. Motion detection alerts are great when away. There was some talk in some reviews about the batteries. I have had my system operating for a month now and the batteries are still fully charged. Replacement batteries can be expensive.

After looking at about 6 different systems this was the ideal. The setup, installation, and function was ridiculously SIMPLE. The alerts, scheduling, and changing anything on the system is EASY. The image, battery life, and quality up as good as any wired/wireless system I've seen. I even bought an extra Arlo camera and added it just as easily.

This camera is pretty good but it could be much better with a few fixes. The good: completely wireless, decent picture, great app, small footprint. The bad: magnetic mount-extra $20 Dollars for a real mount, no audio, runs on expensive batteries. I can deal with the first two issues but the battery is its Achilles heel. Granted, there are settings that you can adjust to prolong battery life but in the end it renders the camera useless to just 10 second clips not enough to be a true dedicated surveillance solution for me. If they fix the battery issue with perhaps a large capacity rechargeable battery, this camera would in my opinion be the best wireless surveillance camera right now.

I am very happy with the Arlo Security System. All the components and processes operate as advertised. Be certain that your router has an extra Ethernet port. You will need that so you can use the Arlo-supplied Ethernet cable to connect the Arlo base unit to your router. Downloading and installing the Arlo app to my smartphone was very easy. The quick startup guide did a good job walking me through all the steps to get everything operational. Additionally, you can go to the SUPPORT area of arlo.com to download a much lengthier PDF owner's manual. Based on my research and experience, I also believe that the system is reasonably priced for its good quality, performance, and reliability.

Pro : - Wireless - Option to NOT having subscription for the Video. Videos are available for 7 days to be downloaded. - Battery Consumption seems to be decent Cons : - The Lense of the Camera seems NOT to be Wide enough. - The motion sensor seems too sensitive. I have a lot of False Alarms that are caused by the change in the sunlight or when my outdoor light turned on. And I set my motion detection down to 40% and still got a lot of False Alarm - Cannot select the Area where the the motion should be detected. - The recording does not seem to be triggered fast enough. I have a lot of video where I can only see the back of the mail man after they made the dropping of the packages. One of the camera is defective - It created video with tinted red. I called the customer service and they helped me with sending the replacement. But the replacement they sent is not new and is also defective. So I had to call again to get the replacement of the replacement.

It all started great easy to use easy to set up. The problem for me was due to the ease of these magnet mounted cameras to get taken I mounted them out of the reach of potential thieves. The motion sensors are not responsive enough to be activated in a timely manor as to catch video of what set them off, so I ended up with wonderful video of the areas I placed the cameras at and not of the things causing them to activate. Great in concept just needs a little more development to fit my needs. I also was only able to get one camera at a time to record so as movements traveled through multiple camera ranges the additional cameras would not begin to record until the previous camera finished its preset record time.

This system is easy to set up and install. It is completely wireless. We were able to get it up and running (including mounting the cameras) within 30 minutes. The cameras are indoor/outdoor so you can put them wherever you want. I love the motion activated notices and once I renamed the cameras it was easy to tell where the motion was.

Very easy to use and set up. Instructions were good with the on line site. Cameras are very sharp and even the night photos come out good. Cameras can be set for specific times so you are not recording when not needed.

This is a good camera. Best used in a low motion area. We used it in a high motion area and the batteries drained too quick. I will reuse these elsewhere. Very easy to setup and the magnet on them is a real plus.

Overall very pleased. Purchased and installed in under 2 hours. Little bit of latency between motion detection and record, but that should get better with firmware.

This was my first time buying a security product. I had read reviews and was satisfied this would fit my needs. The associate at Best Buy thoroughly explained the cameras/system capabilities. He had the system in his own home and showed me how the app worked. I was 100% sold on it. It's wire free so you can put the cameras literally anywhere! You can choose the length of time you want the recordings and also program either constant 24/7 recordings (which will drain the batteries fastest), record only when motion is detected, or on a schedule you customize. There are three tiers of subscriptions. You can get free service but storage is limited to 7 days/1 gig. The paid subscriptions give you higher storage space. The free subscription supports up to 5 cameras. The paid supports more. The recordings are very clear. Set up was so simple! I am extremely happy with this system!!

I installed this system in January in Minnesota. I was concerned about battery life in the the winter cold but so far all cameras are showing good battery strength. I have the 4 camera system and installed 2 outside monitoring my doors, 1 in the garage which stays at about 50 most of the time and one inside. Battery strength is the same now in all 4 cameras after about 7 weeks. The system is very easy the setup and the website and app are very straight forward. The biggest problem I had was installing the batteries but once I figured out how to open the compartment it went very easy.

The system works. Set up was super simple. Camera batter life seems good. Don't count on it for motion detection of fast items. I had it set up on my front driveway. By the time the garage door is up and I'm pulling into the garage it starts recording. Lag between initial movement into field of view and start of recording is probably a good 5-8 seconds.
