I was looking to buy a wireless security cameras since I couldn't run the wires all over. I bought the Arlo, it took me about 3 hours to install the cameras since some are in difficult area to install. But to connect it took me less then ten minutes. I'm very happy with this product it's a great camera.

I used this product for one outdoor security camera and the remainder three for indoor use. The outdoor camera battery life barely last a week, while the remaining three lasted almost two weeks before the batteries died. This product wasn't made for convenience, unless you like changing batteries a lot. The picture quality was excellent but only records ten or so seconds of video surveillance it's not continuous of video recording. And sometimes has glitches when viewing the video. I exchanged it for a Lorex video unit that you have to plug into a sockets for each camera. I paid $200.00 to have an electrician to install a outside outlet but so far so good with my new home security unit. The video has delay in it every now and then (I have Comcast blast speed Internet speed).

For around $100 each, it may seem pricey. However, cloud storage is free and it alerts you to video footage of intruders by email. It would be nice if it could record voice. The battery is pricey and the rechargeable ones do not last as long. If you leave it on all the time, battery can be costly. Motion detection is better for side to side motion than for head on. Adding a motion activated light will help record more clearly at night.

not real happy with them still trying to get the videos to view easily but i keep getting day old ones before the most recent. the batteries were dead that came with it and they are not cheap to purchase. easy set up but directions dont come with it to view videos, it takes a bit before you get notified that there is movement. half the time if not more the person is almost out of the picture when it takes the video.

they have a tendancy to go off from time to time but i belive that that has to do with my internet service. It seems to be working well otherwise. we could not afford to pay for the unlimited because we paid so much for the camera system so if you can afford it get the unlimited storage option because every 14 days you have to go online and watch and delete the stored camera library. otherwise VERY NICE CLEAR CAMERA, I just dont like the fact that you can not bolt the camera into the wall therefore anyone can take the camera unless you place them high up. and you cannot buy a cover for it because it will block the view of the camera at night when you most need it.

I bought this thinking it can't work as well as it's advertised and would need to be returned. But to my surprise, it did what it said it would do!! Easy to install and easy to use. It's sometimes frustratingly slow to display a camera but the record functions work and work well after some adjustment of the settings for each camera's location.

Love this camera. It is easy to use and has a very clear picture. We use it to monitor an outdoor area. Will probably get another one for inside the house. Had a little difficulty at first with wi-fi connection because our home was built in 1945 and has great plaster walls. Solved the problem by placing the router in the window close to where the camera is outside. We plugged the Arlo router into the AT&T DVR which is hardwired to the AT&T router at another location in the home. It notifies our cell phone any time the camera is set off.

Very easy to install and get configured. Love the wireless aspect. Only drawback is the delay from when motion is detected and and it starting to record. Appears to be 2-3 second delay.

The pic quality is pretty good. But that's were the quality stops. Nothing really works the way they describe it. The motion detection has about a 5 to 7 sec delay. So about 70 % of what the camera captures is nothing. I've had it for over a month and it has yet to show the post man delivering the mail or the paper being delivered in the morning. I have adjusted, moved reset etc. The record time doesn't work. Set it to record for 45 sec and you get about 18 sec. Set it for 60 sec and you get less than 30 sec. It also resets it self to 10 secs even though the rule shows 45 or 60 what ever you had previously set it for. Battery on one camera is almost dead after 1 month, the other camera shows it is still full. The camera that records most of the time is the one that is near 100% power. Go figure. Adjusting the motion sensor does nothing. I think that's just for show. Set it for 40 or 100 % and it picks up the same ! Nothing or a blurr of what just went by. Over all it does not server the purpose for why I bought it. But the neighbor, for why I bought it, thinks it works the way it's suppose to. Their dogs haven't been in my yard since. So a fake camera would have done the same thing for a whole lot less. PS. Turning off the email alert doesn't work either. You stil get the email warnings. There are No instructions on how this works and good luck finding it on their site. There isn't instructions there either. The YouTube Video is for the old model. It does help you understand the basics intentions and offers tips but the system doesn't record what you want. To find info or to trouble shoot you basicly go into a page where questions have been asked and answered and that's where you might find what your looking for. They provide absolutely no support, no phone number. They have a web site but offers no chat site. I think they know it doesn't work which is why they offer so little in the way of help. So I would look at another system but this. Save your money.

Cameras are very easy to set up and get going. Video quality is also very good. Only reason not giving 5 stars is I have only had them a month and the batteries are already half gone. Was expecting a little more. Other than that very pleased with picture quality and ease of remote viewing.

This is by far THE easiest system I have ever set up. Literally out of the box and working in less than 10 minutes. Unpacking them from the box took longer than setting them up. Great quality video, I would reccomend this system to anyone! Going to add one additional camera to our system this weekend! If you're looking for a great wireless security system this is THE one!

I have been using these for over 6 months now and would probably try something different if I had to do it again. My biggest problem with these cameras are that they don't start recording until after it senses motion. The problem with that is that the cause of the motion might already be out of view by the time it starts recording. I also have the Ring and they continuously record so when motion is sensed, it shows the cause of the alert. If there isn't any motion, it just keeps overwriting the recording. The second problem with these is the sensitivity isn't the greatest. I have all of mine at the highest sensitivity, but it is hit or miss whether it picks up motion more than 10 feet from the camera. The picture quality is decent and the app works well, but due to these other issues, I would probably go with Ring cameras or something else next time (though I have had issues with the Ring too, just not as bad as Arlo).

I have one Arlo and two Dropcams; I wish I'd bought an Arlo first. It's super easy to set up and it's really sensitive. A really nice feature is being able to adjust the sensitivity to your liking. You can set up schedules and recording preferences which are fully customizable to your liking. It's really sturdy as well. Mine got knocked off the mount by a contractor coming down from my roof and fell about 12 feet. That thing took it like a champ and even recorded the whole incident! It's also been rained on since I've put it outside and I've had no issues with it at all. I love that it's wireless and there are no cords to fuss with. On the flip side, it eats through those 4 batteries like there's no tomorrow, and at $24/4, it gets kinda pricey every three weeks. Invest in some quality rechargeables and you're golden.

This is a great camera system. I easily hooked it up to my router (and I am not very good with electronics). The camera system synced quickly, and I had video within 10 minutes. The video is super clear, and alerts me on my phone whenever there is motion. I have this set up at a second home, which makes me feel more secure in leaving it unattended while I'm away.

I was looking for a system without the need to install the wires and run cables, this was perfect. It came with 4 cameras. They are HD and have good picture quality even at night time. Having no cables, allow me to mount the cameras on trees in the backyard or any angle I want without having to worry about how far the outlets are.

I purchased this system with one camera to test its functionality for my second home, just to keep an eye on things. Overall, I am pleased: the image quality is really pretty good, and I like the App functions. I have two negative comments: 1) I am not impressed with the motion sensing, which seems to be non-existent until a moving subject is only a couple of feet away (when I installed on the wall, I had not reviewed all of the tutorial online info, and did not place it where it would have most traffic crossing its field, so this may be in part my fault); the other con related to the lag time (as other reviewers have noted) which is several seconds after being triggered by motion... the first and only time it has alerted me, the moving person had already passed out of view before it started the record, so I had to sit with the live camera mode active to see them walk back into the field of view. This is not very practical. Having said this, I actually went and bought a two camera system for my home, and have learned more about these issues to optimize the function. Some things still need to be improved, but I'm thinking about buying one or two more individual cameras to expand this system. The other issue that people have mentioned has been battery longevity, which even at optimal battery settings (decent video, not best) I have noted that my one camera at the home is already showing down a bar on the app icon, and that is after 1 to 2 alerts daily for a week of continuous use. I will see if that continues...

I installed a few of these arlo systems, one at my house and at a clients house and they work great! Can't beat the price for HD and how easy they are to install. No more climbing in the attic for me! Tech support for this system is fantastic as well. This system gets 2 thumbs up from me!!
