The best feature in this camera is the wireless. The second best is the battery life. The features I do not like include the motion sensor sensitivity. I wish there was something to adjust it because chipmunks, bees, and garbage trucks across the street set this thing off. Overall though, good quality in daylight, but mediocre night vision. You essentially need a porch light or some outdoor flood light to illuminate or the camera would never be able to clearly picture an intruder or trespasser at night.

This product drains the battery rather quickly if you have it in an area of motion. Didnt meet my expectations

3rd week so far and battery is 80% and I used a lot vídeo have a delay of seconds but I have to blame my internet, mobile hot spot with a wifi extender. ( wifi extender need it because the hot spot don't have a Ethernet port. I will buy now the pro so I can interact with curios people looking at properties I have for sale.. Overall nice camera

The package have everything you need to setup the whole system.

My car was broken into in my driveway and rummaged through, so we purchased and installed the Arlo camera. I love how easy it is to view the live feed right from my phone and that it stores 7 days of history. It has a sensitive sensor so we get a lot of alerts for cars driving by but I prefer that over not knowing what's going on while I'm away.

The system is easy to setup,access.and view remotely.

Really great camera system, got it at a really great price

Watching live, using my smartphone is a great feature, and the recording (email) notification is nice to have as well, but... The lag time on this is horrible. I have the camera pointing towards my driveway, but the camera doesn't start recording until after the person has already reached my door. The other thing I wish this had was a way to secure the camera to the mount. You can easily unscrew this with your hands and walk away with it. Fortunately I put high enough, so someone would need to get a ladder to reach it.

The system is very user friendly and installation is easy.

The camera has very nice imaging. alerts me when camera is tripped.

I bought these for my house. They were very easy to set up use.

Installation was super easy, it's been running good for more than a month now with original batteries. Only problem that I found is that there is a 5-10 sec lag in video recording.

The Arlo system from Netgear was simple to set up, install, and connect to both computer and Android smartphones. Addition of more cameras is just as fast and simple. The system provides constant monitoring of the camera locations with immediate notifications to smartphones to allow review of activities being noted.

Support help is very limited! Trying to get help is unbelievable! Could not find any contact numbers but then googled the number and finally talked to a live personnel but not helpful!

I bought & installed the base station & camera on 5/10/16 but did most of the testing on 5/11. When I first installed the system I checked for firmware updates and there weren't any updates available but on 5/11 I was notified that there was an update available which I installed. Consequently, some of the comments below might not apply if you have not applied the update. 1) INSTALLATION : When I 1st installed the base station it connected to the router but wouldn't connect to the internet. I powered down the modem, router and base station and then re-powered each device one at a time. The manual says that it takes up to 2 minutes for the base station to connect to the internet but in my case it took about 10 minutes to establish a connection. 2) Although only a 720P camera rather than the 1080P cameras used in the Netgear indoor cameras, the video quality was excellent in well lit environments. 3) My application was to monitor my vehicles parked in front of our condo which required the full 20 feet range for motion detection in the Netgear specifications. Even when adjusting the sensitivity to max I could not get the camera to detect motion beyond 15 feet. The quality of the night vision video capture outdoors drops off rapidly after about 8 feet and at 15 feet was almost unusable. Night vision video quality indoors was very good because, I assume, that hard surfaces such as floors and walls were radiating infrared. 4) When changing brightness, motion detection sensitivity or recording length, you need to save the settings else the change will be lost. There is a small green check mark in the lower right corner of the window where you change settings that you need to click to save the settings. This isn't intuitively obvious and Netgear probably should have used a button with the caption SAVE rather the check mark. 5) I have seen some reviews complain about only being able to record for 10 seconds before recording stops. Perhaps as a result of the firmware update you can now change the recording duration. 6) MOTION DETECTION : As I noted above, my experience was that motion detection range is no more than 15'. Also, my experience was that the camera would only detect motion in the center of the field of view and was very slow in detecting the motion and initiating recording. Consequently, if someone walks in front of the camera it is probable that they will be out of the field of view before recording starts. 7) I did most of my testing with the camera using battery rather than AC power but I didn't notice any reduction in performance without the batteries while using AC power. Before you check the 'Unhelpful' button note that inside of the battery compartment there is a white, oval plastic plug about 1/4" long. If you pop the plug out you will see a micro USB connector. I used a power block from an Android tablet which has a micro USB connector and the camera worked fine. I don't know why Netgear doesn't advertise this capability. 8) The camera is easy to mount but would be too easy for a thief to steal the camera using the standard mounts (magnetic or tripod like screw in). I'd rather see a mount which screwed into something firm and at a minimum required an allen wrench to remove. Bottom line is that if you are going to use this camera indoors or in a short range situation such as to monitor outside of an entry door then this camera is a good option.
