Great camera with awesome features. Also extremely easy to install. Anyone could set them up. Could use a siren that could be installed anywhere to deter thieves.

I needed these due to shady activites going on in my neighborhood and to watch my dog do dog things when she is alone. If you are curious she sleeps most of the time. Pros: Easy install, just need a router and a couple of minutes. They work great in low light and are capable of calling out faces. The software that they link through via the website is easy to use for even the most novice of computer users. Cons: Slow at refreshing however this could be due to my outdated router. They also don't adjust well to the motion sensitivity slider and will take a million pictures for no reason sometimes. Overall, love them. Would recommend.

The folks at Netgear have created a super easy kit to get us started with a DIY camera system. No IP camera order to worry about. No wires. Took less than 1 hour to understand, then install, and setup. Piece of cake. We added some outdoor rigging, but that was our choice. Very Clear visuals. Simple troubleshooting. Bestbuy had the best deal at the time.

It doesn't get easier than this system in terms of installation and setup. The only issue I have is the 2 sec delay in video capture which can miss something from being recorded, otherwise I would have rated it 5 stars. Netgear please fix. Recommend to anyone wanting a do-it-yourself system.

The HD quality and reliability is top notch. Another great product from Netgear. The app and web site Are slick and easy to use. Arlo is a success with the only drawback being there's no microphone so sound can not be recorded. But still that won't stop me from purchasing additional camera's. Great deal $500 for the 4 camera pack and router at Best Buy!

This product is so easy to setup and could be installed in anywhere in the network range. I installed 2 in front yard and 2 in the back yard. The only issue is battery life.

The cameras where on sale for $299 original priced at $499. I’m glad that I did not pay that amount. It was an instant decision because they were priced low but end up returning the cameras. Setting up the hub and camera requires you to use the app on your phone which won’t not work for me. I had to use my computer in order to set up the hub and first camera after that I set up the 3 remaining cameras using my phone. These cameras are set up using WPS which you have to sync the cameras to the hub. Also, the hub does broadcast a network name called NETGEAR03. I did not like that because if someone wanted to access my hub they just need the password or just press the Sync button then connects to my cameras. But no worries I still wanted the cameras but after setting up the cameras to records motions there is a lag. The lag is so bad that I waked past the camera and 5 seconds were not recorded. No big deal I thought but when the hub loses power it does not automatically connects back to the cameras. I had to press the sync button on each camera after they were connected the next day the app notified me that my camera battery was at 14%. This camera was not armed but I do not understand why the batteries were draining fast. These batteries suppose to last 3-6 months but my cameras batteries where dying fast I only had it for 4 days the batteries where in the 70% for the rest of the camera. The good it does record but you might miss up to 5 seconds of the recording, you can use your Apple TV to view the camera. Only 1 camera can be viewed at 1 time. This camera might work for you but for my set up it does not work well. I might consider looking at getting the Pro which is supposedly better. However, you can try the camera if you don’t like it return it. Also you get for Free 1GB of cloud storage saved for 7 days.

I love this system. It's simple to setup and the cameras have great quality. I love how you can view each video from your phone and have the option to save them to your phone and also zoom in. I'm stoked to see what updates come in the future with the app. Definitely satisfied!

This was recommended to me by a Best Buy sales person. Although it is easy to install, it is not a good system. Batteries are constantly in need of replacement and are costly. It misses video taping at times. This was described to me as being the only wireless system BB sells, so I bought it thinking it would be good for my needs but is inadequate and will be buying another system.

Good product. Easy setup good battery life, clear pictures. They have good tips to make the most of yours system. Slow when trying to turn on/off with phone app. It's trial and error when setting up motion setting. Overall it's the best product if you don't want to run coax.

To start, the Arlo setup was a breeze and all included mounts and hardware made for an easy, hassle free time. The fact that they're truly wireless means you really can mount them anywhere without the hassle of running wires for power or video feed, and you get (almost) instant viewing on the app. There are a couple of drawbacks, however. The automatic timer feature is a pain to use. It should be easier to use, but it's not impossible. Sometimes it fails to connect on the app, and you have to restart it a few times. Not that big of a deal, but annoying. The real downfall of the unit is in picture quality. It's said to be true HD, but no matter how I set it up, it just isn't. I can't make out license plate numbers from 30 feet away, to give you an idea. All in all, the ease of usage and functionality are great, but the picture quality just isn't where I'd like it.

I wanted to have a camera security system setup at my home but didn't want the hassle of running wires, worrying about distance to a central setup, paying a contractor to setup, and spends days configuring. This was the solution! It took me fifteen minutes to mount all my cameras and another five minutes to plug into my internet. So easy to setup it want funny. 720p is great video for capturing what I need. Motion activated or set your own schedule. Captures and keeps seven days worth no matter how much you record (you can purchase more days). I can review online at any time. Picks up nighttime events as well! If you want to save a video. Just select the video and press download. Easier than running the washing machine. Couldn't believe it.

I have tried several cameras, and Arlo by far has the best HD picture. The picture is clean and crisp in the daytime, and the night vision is okay. The wide angle is an added bonus. I live in a townhome and I have this camera mounted on the front of my home. It is so small that you barely notice it. The motion detection is above average ... It does not always capture motion. This camera records for 2 minutes after detecting motion ... I wish the recording could be longer. All in all, great camera!

    Quality Product - Poor Value

The Arlo cameras seem like a qualty product, but it has a lot of flaws that are quite disappointing at the price point. The 720 picture is great during the day and the zoom features are great. The app works well, the setup is easy, and they've functioned very well despite the sub zero temperatures. However these things suck down juice if you don't constantly manage them by either deactivating the whole system or individual cameras when you don't need them. The mounting hardware is laughable. They really only come with one mount, the other small magnetic "mounts" are only good for placing the camera looking straight downwards, it can't support the cameras weight at any angle without pivoting. The magnet within the actual camera is quite strong and I actually just use that on an acceptable surface instead of the "mounts". The night vision is pretty awful, the motion detection is annoying (even though its calibratable) and constantly going off for no reason. Because of this, I'd say get the Arlo Pro if you can afford it.

This is an excellent system for basic watchdog or monitoring. It has ability to save past 7 days and up to 5 cameras for free. You can use more or long save time for a fee. The video is good as well as the night vision. The night vision isn't the best but then again with the size of the unit you sacrifice a little for the small size. One of the major pluses is it is truly wireless. Just connect to base then place within range and done. Battery life seems to be good since it one works when armed and when motion detected (not the best detection but does work). The drawbacks are motion detection seems to have a time out from last detection.. Will not do continuous while motion is detected On the battery versions it only records for 10 seconds and no option to change the duration. The other drawback is, for me, when at home I would like to have 3 of my four active but it only has 3 options I can find.... All armed, one armed, disarmed. There doesnt seem to be a way to have more than one but not all armed under a profile created. Over all it isn't the worst and would recommend if you don't want to run wires (power or coax), like portability (able to move them on a whim) and don't want a month charge for basic coverage. If though, you want long distance view (night/day), higher zoom quality, or more control and video recordings... This may not be fore you.

Been looking for a completely wire free system and that what I found with these cameras. You can place them in those places that don't have any power. They work fine, good quality picture and very easy to set up and use. I like them so much I now have a total of 10

I had read several reviews about different cameras, and settled on these because they are wireless and easy to setup and install. They have worked great for me, and the battery problems reported by some have not been a problem for me. I would definitely recommend!
