I love the abilty to monitor my home. The angle is a bit sensitive with a delay feature. Combine it with the pedestal stand holder for a better view.

Camera setup is pretty easy, app to utilize the cameras is another matter. Be prepared to receive massive emails if you have your settings for motion above 60. Cameras will crash from time to time for no apparent reason and connecting it back to the hub is made difficult if you have your cameras mounted outside. Batteries have held up since I've lowered the motion detection, which is a plus. I'd probably look at another camera system before settling on this one.

Overall, the product does what it is supposed to do. There is some lag and it's not the best quality, but we are using outdoors to help protect our home.

This works well and is easily monitored from your phone/computer. It also is a night vision camera but at times is hard to see through the camera at night.

Works great but does not work with ArloQ

I have had the Arlo Wire-Free system for a few weeks now and able to give it a thorough test. I also have a Netgear ArloQ which has worked for me well. The first thing I noticed is that once I set up the Arlo wire-free I was no longer able to open the Arlo beta app on my phone. I tried syncing the ArloQ to the Arlo app for the wire-free system but was unable. After several unsuccessful attempts I called customer support. The nice gentleman on the line was very patient in helping me try and add the ArloQ to the app. After trying several different methods, having the phone recognize the camera then have my laptop try and recognize it, no success. We finally called it quits after about an hour. Hopefully Netgear comes up with a fix for this otherwise I will have to choose between the two systems. Back to the Arlo Wire-Free. Set up was very easy and I ran into no problems at all. The portability option is the best feature and can easily be located throughout the house and easily hidden. The camera performed well at a distance with my detached garage between the camera and base station. The kids thought the cameras were cool so they kept on relocating them throughout the house. Good thing they were easy to find. The cameras are performing well, but I noticed that the farther cameras are sucking up more battery power than the closer one. The cameras exceeded my expectations considering my older 1080p wired unit took me a week to install because of the difficult locations on my second story. These cameras took me no time at all to install and very easy for a first time user. The only drawback of these cameras is the batteries. The cameras take four CR123 batteries each. These batteries are not common and I paid about $10 for each battery when I use them for my high power flashlight. So at $40 per camera to replace the breakeven point compared to the Netgear ArloQ might be less than a year. If these cameras can run on standard AA batteries then it would be more cost effective. Price-Value: I would have to say the cameras are a good value for the money considering I paid about $1000 for a 1080p wired system from Costco that took me a week to install and still having to tweak. I would recommend this system to a friend as it is very easy to setup and use. This is also perfect for apartments or if you are renting a room from someone where a wired system is not practical. The best thing about the Arlo Wire-Free cameras were that I received them for free as part of their friends and family product test program.

    Waste of Money

This is the worst camera system. It is ridiculous how terrible it is. The cameras worked for 2 weeks then I had the same problem as all the other 1 star reviewers: eats batteries in a day, poor quality, poor connectivity. It is amazing that the company can get away with the 4-6 months claim. They last 1 day and that was having the lowest quality recording mode. I didn't spend $400 on something that only works with an inferior setting! The batteries are expensive too. After a month, and many batteries later, the cameras started going offline. I contacted Arlo who suggested that the weather was the problem. I live in N California so obviously it's not that cold. That's the only help I got from them. Clearly there is a huge flaw with the system. It is so infuriating that Arlo has just released a new camera with a rechargeable battery. Thanks for letting us waste our money on the prototype. And Best Buy wouldn't take them back because it was a few weeks outside of the return date. So now I'm stuck with them. Bad customer service all around.

Cameras are good. The all weather style is neat. Just better hope the set you buy doesn’t get the pink film screen right away.

The camera is nice. My only complaint is that it is only battery powered. I would have liked to have an AC plug, so I did not have to buy batteries.

I am totally satisfied with my purchase. The reproduction of the sound in my ear is distinct and very simple to adjust. The size of the rubber attachment to the unit is perfect, it fits very comfortably in my ear. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone, especially members of my family.

Had 2 Arlo units in for 10 days. On three occasions batteries had to be removed and re-inserted for the units to re-connect to the WiFi after they lost connectivity. trying to reconnect through the dashboard did not work after many attempts.

These are awesome wireless security cameras with a bunch of cool features. The only negative is that there is about a 10 second delay on the motion sensing when someone walks into the range. Otherwise they are great and set up was very easy.
