Not wanting to run wires this system works great for what I need. Sends me alerts and I have had no issues with it yet. Great buy and reliable system.

I'm always forgetting if I closed the garage and having to turn around to check. This saves me the hassle. Easy to setup and arm while your on the go.

I set this up and they are working very well. They are rechargeable so no other power is needed. This is the older model and I love it.

I have friends and family who have installed home surveillance systems from Lorex, Q-See and others and I always wanted to have one at my house. But I was always intimidated by the systems on display at Best Buy, Costco and other electronics stores because of the bulky recorder and the wired cameras that need to be set up by an electrician. So when I was selected for Netgear test and review program to receive a free product to evaluate, I assumed that it would be just another home surveillance system in the market. Man I was wrong! ..So wrong! Arlo is the best DIY home surveillance system that I know of and it’s so easy to set up it doesn’t even qualify to be called DIY ….maybe we just call it “Power up, Sync, Done” The best part in my opinion is how beautiful the cameras look… Compact design, glossy white plastic exterior with a strong magnet for magnetic wall mount. The wall mounts are also beautifully designed with a silver hemisphere at the front to which the camera can be attached. You got to see it to believe it…but trust me when I say both of them look like something that Jony Ivy designed at Apple Labs for Netgear….you get the idea! The second best part is the setup …..3 easy steps 1. Connect Base Station to home router and power -up 2. Download the app to complete setup 3. Sync cameras They got a quick start guide that will walk you through the steps and you will be done in less than 10 minutes to get the video up and running on 3 cameras. As easy as it can be….. You can then customize the settings through the app to add additional logic for recording per a schedule etc. Once the cameras are synced up you can place them any where …. on a bookshelf, on your Kitchen counter, wall mount ..wherever you want it. The video quality is 720p which is good enough though I have seen some wired systems with 1080p. Another great plus is the night vision. I could easily make out my living room furniture and other objects through the camera video even in complete darkness. Though I’ve not tested it but the cameras are waterproof so you can mount them anywhere in the open as well. Not sure if there are any other home surveillance cameras out there that are waterproof. For my setup I tested it indoors and then set up the 3 cameras to monitor the front entrance to my home, backyard and garage. I don’t have a need but you can get additional cameras separately if you need more. Bottom Line …if you are looking for a wireless home surveillance system which is beautiful to look at , easy to setup and use..…just get the Arlo!

These cameras are neat, I love that they can go just about anywhere and don’t need to be in a spot near an outlet. So convenient.

one or two camera drops off the network and needs to be added every week. The sensor also picks up movement late. By the time it starts recording the person is already gone.

Plug and play. Super easy setup and great interface with the mobile app. Buy yourself some rechargeable batteries on ebay and you will be good to go

Great for starter set, models coming out fast! Getting new model, but still using these on new hub.

The cameras are easy to set up and have a lot of features. I like that they are activated by motion and that it will text you if anything walks by them.

I like the flexibility this totally wireless system provides. It also totally portable so it can be reconfigured and taken with you wherever you go

With recent criminal activity in the neighborhood, we recently purchased these devices. The quality and effectiveness make it well worth the price.

Its good while its working. Its hard to find the exact same kind of batteries they use for these type of cameras. They just dont sell it.

Seems a little pricey for what they are, but works great and give me a great sense of security to see what is going on while I am away.

These are great cameras, especially when you can get them on sale. The motion notifications are very helpful. Definitely worth the money.

We purchased this for a gift for our daughter . She loves it. She feels much safer living alone. I think we might even get a few for our home.

Good system. Only complaint is you cannot hear noise from them. They can pick up noise or motion, but you can't hear it. Or talk thru them. Other than that they seemed pretty decent.

I've owned this camera for a month now and I love it I love the fact that you can you move the cameras around without having to worry about wires.

I have had this for about a year and am very pleased with it. Being able to check on things from far away does a lot for my peace of mind.
