Easy to install but there's no microphone on these so you can't hear sound. Would recommend getting pro 2 version of these as they have 2 way audio and better resolution.

720? Well maybe in bright sunlight but image quality sucks in my opinion. Fails to connect a lot. Motion sensing is hit or miss. Should have returned it.

The video is a very good quality and the setup is very simple. However, the motion detection is problematic, making the battery life way too short. I've been experimenting with the motion detection settings in order to attempt to lengthen the battery life to the point that camera won't start recording when standing in front of it for several minutes (about the 40 setting) or a slightly higher sensivity (5-10 higher) and it started a new recording every minute. When recording every minute, the batteries die in a week. There is no middle ground. Maybe as an indoor recorder, one could find a sweet spot to record only when you want, but as an outdoor recorder, I'd look for something else. I've wasted enough money. I'm not going to buy $10 worth of batteries every week.

Good camera, there is an small delay when viewing live time from our phone, other than that no issue.

Doesn't always detect motion. Doesn't always turn on night vision at night. Wish it had sound. Not the most satisfied with this product.

How does the night vision come into play? All I have is darkness and spots when I review the recording.

Don't waste your money. I keep calling Arlo tech support and once they resolve the problem I get a new problem. I've called them 5 times already. Batteries don't last long, expensive batteries. CSR hardly speak English, hard to understand them.

Bought these for when we went on vacation. It was great to be able to watch what was going on at home.

Arlo is the best wireless camera system set up I've seen so far.

I was very reluctant when considering to purchase these cameras. I searched for weeks looking at all brands of surveillance cameras. After my extremely extensive search, it came down to me not wanting to run wires through the attic knowing how much of a hassle that would be for my house. BB had a sale on these cameras for $429 and I jumped on them. I read a hoard of reviews on terrible battery life and other not so good features. So I kept my receipt near. Installation was very easy. Anyone can do it. I mounted four cameras and didn't even break a sweat. I was impressed with the quality of the video as I adjusted my cameras for the perfect viewing angle. When they say these cameras are HD they are definitely that! This is one of the features you will not be disappointed in. Night vision is ok. It's not the best unless pointed directly at whatever you want to keep an eye on. Coverage area just not the best in night vision. Motion detection is where you start the see the very few flaws in these cameras. When the cameras detect motion, they send a 10 sec (by default) video to your device. I adjusted mine to 25 sec. The problem is that the cameras (sometimes but not all the time) start recording in the middle or after the motion has been detected. I've had numerous videos clips with nothing showing up. Arlo says that the best way to catch motion is from left to right or right to left. If an object is coming straight at the camera it may not detect it until later. To me this is the most frustrating thing about these cameras. With the way I have to mount my cameras, I can't position all of them in a way to catch motion that way. You can do a test to know exactly at what point motion is captured so this, in a small way, helps with this flaw. Oh, another thing I don't like is when the power goes out ,maybe by storm, unplug modem to maybe relocate, power company mishap, or whatever, you have to go and sync all of your cameras again. So that means breaking out a ladder to go press the button on each camera and then running back to the base to sync. Yes, each camera. So if you have four, you must do this 4 times. Press button on camera, run to base to sync. Nevertheless, these are probably the best battery operated cameras on the market. I read a lot of complaining about the battery life but I've had mine a little over a month and I have not lost a bar yet on any camera. And I look at them everyday. I really like these cameras and I would recommend them to anyone who doesn't want to or can't run wires. You won't get 24/7 viewing with these cameras as you would with a wired system but the notifications alerts aren't bad. Just hope that Arlo comes up with some kind of fix for the delay in motion detection. I really like these cameras and I'm glad I purchased them.
