I am sorry I did not do more research before I bought this horrible camera. The batteries died after a week and they cost a dollar apiece. Some of the recordings were distorted or didn't record at all.

Could not get the camera to record unless movement was directly in the center of view of camera. So if there was some movement in side of view, camera would not record it at all. Pass the center and it would work. Returned camera and purchased a Samsung.

Disappointed in the lack of clarity in images. Images are too small to distinguish details. Especially poor images as the lighting decreases (e.g.,at dusk). I purchased for exterior use, probably better for interior when lighting is bright..

The batteries wear out so fast and the camera position function doesn’t work properly. I returned this trash after a short trial period. Very disappointing for the price.

I read quite many reviews and also reviewed on YouTube. Im a bit a tech nut so I hope my opinion doesn't seen biased. Im going to dumb this down to the lowest level so that i dont say anything confusing. Seemingly, the device does have some flaws, but are quite minimal in nature due to the technology available for the price. Absolutely there are better devices that can be purchased, but the question is, are the masses willing to pay the extra money for the difference. My opinion is "absolutely not!' For the money, this product is great. I have a 6300 sf home and the Arlo networked base wifi device is the the basement behind a cement wall. Signal strength is still quite good given all of my camera's are mounted outdoors. Notifications are almost instant and data "buffering" where it is admittedly annoying is acceptable given this is a wifi solution and not wired. Set up was quite simple and do think that even the most novice of a user can set this up in under 30 mins tops! Picture quality is very good. I would like to see a "different" alarm condition sound other than one being used as on my android based device I have no way of determining what is an email, text, or Arlo alert as they are all the same. Perhaps there is a way and I haven't figured it out yet as this post is 48 hours after purchase.

We weren't told about the limitations of arlo cameras, that they only record for 10 seconds and not continuous. It's due to battery operation, and should have been told this.

The issues for me specifically pertaining to Geofencing, which does not work as advertised. Customer support is poor, not technical experts at all. In addition, one of the cameras is already having sensor issues.

I purchased 2 Arlo cameras with base. They were easy to install & worked great for a couple of months until they began giving us problems. We spent countless hours with customer service trying to solve the issue. They finally sent a replacement base which was refurbished.Problem continued. We asked for replacement of defective equipment with new, not refurbished products. Customer service representative kicked it up to level III representation from Netgear. On Nov.4th they said replacement was authorized and will be shipped. Called again Nov.17th & got run a round answer.Still waiting!!!! Will never deal with this company again.

I chose this system because It is wireless wanting an easy self installation. As expected it was easy to install and set up. The surprise was when one of the four cameras developed a pink hue. Netgear’s customer support was not very good. After trying their recommendation the camera had the same issue. A replacement cameras was available to me with me picking up the tab for shipping. A company that stands behind their product would have gone above and beyond to remedy an issue with a unit that the customer just purchased. I opted to return the system and will look to other brands.

Had a camera go bad after 20 days called to have it replaced been a month now and they just keep sending me emails for the run around. Camera is recording red and they know it's something that goes bad but still won't send me a new one. Would not recommend this for how much it cost. Plus monthly fee for recording.

    3 Camera's set up in 15 minutes

This camera system is amazing. I had 3 camera's up and running in 15 minutes. So easy a 10 year old could do it. You want to spend some time fine tuning the motion sensing to get it just right but the initial set up was a breeze. After you get the motion sensing set you will want to set up your schedules. All of this can be done from your cell phone while siting in your warm house on the couch. My wife was not super excited until she installed the app on her phone. Now she cannot stop looking at it and talking about it. I wear an iwatch and every time the camera senses motion it sends an alert to my watch......Awesome! The picture is crystal clear.....I bought mine 2 days ago and so far 3 of my work friends went and bought them after seeing my video's on my phone. I was a little hesitant at first because if the price but after purchasing I can honestly tell you they are worth every penny.

    Great cameras for home security

I have always wanted to give these Arlo cameras a try, I was wondering how their performance would work, because they are wireless and have to connect to a base station to stay online and record. I was able to get to get some of these to test and try out, I was very happy with their performance, I have been playing with them all week since I have gotten them. Setup: The setup is so simple, all I had to do was download the Arlo application and create an account with Arlo. Then I connected the base station with a network cable to my router, you then press a button on your camera and your base station and they pair right up. You are then able to mount the cameras nearly anywhere the range on the base station is very large. There are many features the Arlo’s have to offer from setting how much sensitivity it takes to make the camera start recording and how long the recordings go for, what quality you want to record up to which goes up to 720p. the picture is really clear on these cameras, I was very happy with them especially for them being wireless. These cameras have more than exceeded my expectations, I have had nothing but good experiences with them, they are fast to notify, but can be a little slow recording the movement at times. I would gladly pay for these cameras, I have received them free through Netgear’s first look program, but I would have purchased them anyway. My family members own these cameras as well and they have even helped my older brother catch a thief on them. I have always been impressed with these cameras. If you are considering buying these cameras I would purchase them without a second thought, they include 7 days of free recording time, something a lot of other products in their class do not offer, and it is at least for me, more than enough time to record.

Equipment is way too expensive and only comes with one out door mount. Every additional mount is $25 and also Bought a weather sleeve to proctect from all the outdoor elements and coughed up another $25. Basic plan to activate your system is $99 for the year and another $99 if you want CVR ( continues video recording) other wise it only records 10 second intervals when it senses movement. App lags as well takes 2-3 min to get the notification that camera senses motion and catches the latter part of the activity on video.
