I bought this camera a couple of months ago. Store rep told me it was totally wireless. Yes, it is. He also told me you could switch it to record continuously. No, you can't. You also can't change the recording length and the delay is so long in many cases by the time it starts recording you don't see who approached the house only the person's back end. I tried adjusting the modes without luck. There is also an app delay in receiving motion detection and a long delay in the recording showing up in the library. So typically, I get delayed notifications of someone leaving my front door for a total recording length of about 5-8 seconds. I will need to purchase a different security system as this one does not do much in the way of security. Too bad. The wireless option is great. There are just a lot of bugs to work out before it's useful.

Brought 4 camera system. Set up 1 on Iphone works OK/ tried to setup on Laptop (picture too small on Iphone), will not work, will not accept. Try to find support desk/tele# for netgear, There is none. You get ring around the rosie on-line and always end up where you started. Disappointed in Netgear, would not recommend the system

    Great Security Camera System

The Netgear Arlo Wire-Free Security System (VMS3330) is very easy to set up. Just connect the base station to a router using the supplied ethernet cable, and sync each camera to the base station. Then install the wireless cameras for the desired viewing area. A quick start guide is included with the system, and a more detailed User Manual is available online. The mobile app user interface is very easy to use, and has a lot of flexibility in controlling each camera for motion sensitivity, recording duration, and motion detection notification (via app and/or e-mail) options. The app allows the user to view live images from any camera, and record or take a snapshot on demand. Low light and night images are very good. There are no fees for cloud storage for up to 5 cameras, and data is stored for approx 1 week, and can be downloaded to your device. I would recommend this product to anyone interested looking for a security camera system at this price point. The wireless cameras make for a quick and easy setup. The mobile app is very user friendly, with a lot of flexibility in setting the functions for each camera. I received this product from NETGEAR as part of the First Look Review Program.

At the end of the company's one year warranty, 2 cameras and the base station weren't functioning. I had a store warranty that covered another set. This set still has one camera that does not pick up some daytime movement. The concept is great but the quality of the components is poor.
