    Peace of mind

    These cameras give me such peace of mind. My son and I are alone a lot because my fiancé works second shift. Knowing who could be on my front porch or backyard helps a lot with making me feel not nervous. We recently moved to this neighborhood about a month ago and with not knowing the neighbors, this really helps when you're away to make sure nothing is happening at the house. The wireless aspect is great because we rent this house. I have had the cameras for about a month and the battery is still going strong in both of them. Love them!

    Absolute garbage

    These cameras are straight up garbage. My dad had an extra base station and a camera that he gave me. I set it up pretty seemlessly and turned it on periodically during the day just to watch my cat. After about 3 weeks, it started taking forever to turn on from the app on my phone. Eventually stopped turning on at all. Tried re-syncing, re-setting, unplugging, pretty much everything. Going straight to the garbage. If I had purchased, I would be livid. Save your money, don't buy this brand.

    Only thing that sucks is the battery life as they are completely wireless. But something has to be given up to not be stuck to the outlet.

    My experience after 18 months

    I am just writing to say how much I am really disliking your product. I am beyond frustrated. I have had these for two years. Several. One completely died after 1 year (which the warranty is gone). Today I just replaced batteries (every couple months) again, and I go to replace. After I replace it says there is motion. I go to login to the Arlo app, and of course, once again I have to enter my password. I enter it. Says it is incorrect. I try again. You all don't have that 'eye' button where you can see your password. No, let's not make it easy in case you mistyped. Then I go to login to my account, it says invalid. I go to create a new one. Open the email, select the link to create a new password then it says I can't use my previous one you all said was wrong. Then I go to log in, and of course, I can't because now I have to wait 5 minutes. So what is the point if someone is standing there and I have to wait 5 minutes to view my camera? I wrote this to Arlo chat. Instead of reading my chat, she reset my password again. I never got an email. So I had to request a new email so I can reset it because she just locked me out. Another 5-minute wait to log back into my account. Because the camera on the front of the house doesn't work anymore, I purchased a RING. So far so good there. I am looking to put RING in the other areas where Arlo currently is. I am just waiting for those cameras to die.

    false alerts/Good luck with support wait time

    They work good most of the time and I've learned to deal with the false alerts but the wait time for support is not acceptable. I've had the cameras in two locations and if you find the need to call support, the wait time has been long for me. I called today and was notified I was #17 at the start of the hold. I waited 34 minutes for a support person. I advised that I wanted to make an official complaint about the unacceptable wait time. Apparently there is no way to do that so I am commenting here. The company clearly does not have enough support staff and does not care.

    I bought this because it was truly wireless and set up was easy, but it does not work as expected. The key problems I have had are the sensitivity of the cameras to motion and the amount of time the cameras record video after the motion is detected. I have set and reset the cameras to record for 30sec after the motion is detected (fixed time), but they continue to only record 6-10sec. I called their support (had to wait on hold for 30min on a weekday) and she could not figure it out either. Even with 30+ seconds of active motion, it still only records for 6-10sec and all 4 cameras are doing the same thing.

    The cameras work really good however there’s been a few times one will go offline for no reason at all. Also I have to change the batteries about once every 3/4 weeks so not too bad.

    Bought and Arlo 4 pack and an Arlo Q also. The cameras work well but the Android phone app is horrible. It constantly locks and requires it be uninstalled and reinstalled. Almost every review on the Google Android store comments on how terrible the app has become. Hopefully they'll get it fixed the next two weeks otherwise everything is going back. The iPhone app may be better, as might the computer-based website portal, but if you're planning on using an Android phone to monitor I would suggest waiting or getting a different system.

    If I had read other reviews before purchasing would have never purchased. Defective system boxed up and returning tomorrow. Thought with all the issues with red/pink camera video from the last three years (read Best Buy reviews and go on internet and read others) for they would have fixed. No chance. One camera worked fine other terrible. Same issue others report. Tried everything, nothing. Call tech support and after trouble shooting on their end said camera was defective. Offered to send replacement out in 5 to 7 days. Not a chance. Cut lose before other camera goes out and other issues arise.

    Great, but not for me

    I was super excited about this purchase at first. It was simple to install, set up, and configure. The nighttime image quality wasn't that great but we managed. It wasn't until two weeks into our purchase that I really started to notice how quickly the batteries on the wireless cameras decreased. The battery life just plummeted and quickly, too. It could be because we live in the Phoenix area, where the heat can be extremely. But after experiencing that, we decited to go with a wired camera system. Best Buy accpeted our return without any problems.

    Incredibly easy to setup

    I needed something dust and water proof and easy to setup. Wow, this ARLO camera system is a game changer. The HD quality, the Android app, the whole package. Super happy, I plan to buy an add-on camera. The daytime resolution and the the night-time resolution are excellent. i still can't believe how easy it was to setup a CCTV system compared to the old days of wired systems and hard drive boxes. Thanks Netgear! Cool.

    Base set connected to net and synced well with the camera, but it would not connect to my PC or android phone, S5...Despite multiple attempts and resets, and calling Netgear support, nothing helped( they said their system was down for an hour, and after 24 hours it still did not connect). Not happy at all; wasted a lot of time with nothing accomplished. Returning item.

    No longer free cloud storage

    Arlo have instituted an ‘end of life’ policy on these cameras ending the free 7 day cloud storage. However, they will continue to provide cloud storage if a new subscription is purchased. That is not how end of life works, that is simply failing to honor the promise of service made with purchase.
