Some one recently tried to kick my door in the middle of the night. So I bought this set I now have the piece of mind that my family is safer with these camera in place. The cameras only pick up movement which saves battery life. I am highly satisfied with my purchase.

Nice bundle and wireless. Very easy to setup and use.

We've used this system for over a year as well as bought one for an elderly relative who lives alone. The advantage is of course, no wiring and a quick setup, alerts to your phone, and, WHEN IT WORKS, the ability to know that someone is lurking around your home. However, keyword, when it works. We have excellent wifi signal and speeds at both locations, but in the last year, we have had no less than two dozen occasions where cameras will randomly, and after a short power outage, refuse to reconnect to the base station, causing us to have to take the cameras down, and manually resync them and re-install them. Twice, we've had to re-install the entire system after a reset to get it to fully work right. Sometimes, the cameras will resync but remove themselves from "modes" (where you set up cameras to do various things, etc). In other words, various glitches with two sets, at two locations. We have replaced 2 of the cameras that were the worst with these problems - new replacements had the same issues. Just as a test, we tried out another camera made by another manufacturer - no problems at all. After many tech calls to their reps, one night I got a rep to admit that their products are glitchy and as he said, "Have cheap, weak, wifi antennaes in them". This guy works for Arlo and actually told me to buy NEST! (Can't afford that). Either way, just note that even if it SEEMS to be working, you will not always get an error message on your app - your camera(s) may well actually NOT be recording properly. If you are going to have to use these, check the app daily and if possible, even walk in front of each one daily to make sure it's doing what you programmed it to do. I cannot recommend these to anyone. Side note: Arlo recently announced a breach in their system as well. You should change your password if you haven't recently just in case.

Be prepared to sit by your phone as you receive literally thirty useless alerts each day. Used outdoors. Camera senses trucks driving down the street 30 feet away (thankfully not cars), but does not detect a car coming in the driving ten feet away or a person walking across the view until they are less than 1 foot away. Also gives alerts where there is nothing in view--just some kind of blip in the picture in the first millisecond of recording. Spent 1.5 hours on the phone with tech support and they were utterly useless. This system is useless. Spend your money on any other system

I like the wireless aspect but I do wish the range was a bit better and the connectivity needs improvement.

I will not waste my money on it. Night visions not worth any thing. Battery that you change change all the time. Doesn't record doesn't have hard drive if motion seen it will only record for ten sec do you don't see the rest of the crime

I returned the next day because there was too much delay. I tested the camera by walking by and sometimes up to 30 seconds later my image would appear.

When I first bought this Arlo camera I asked about the batteries. Was told they were something like AA or AAA and not at all costly, This was a lie. Batteries can only be purchased at places that specialize in batteries The set (4) that came with it lasted 2 weeks. Netgear send me more as I called them and complained. This next set lasted 3 weeks. Bought set of rechargeable ones which I thought would save me money in the long run as when I priced these batteries they were not cheap, in fact they are very expensive. These lasted also only a few weeks. I bought a set of non rechargeable which lasted about 6 weeks. So now I am stuck with this stupid camera and can't afford batteries so that it will work. A $200 camera sitting attached to my exterior of my home for nothing. Each time they had to be replaced I was unable to use camera for 4 weeks or more until someone could come to my residence and remove the camera. Did I mention that the battery cover which is supposed to "slide" open does not slide. It will not move one iota for me and need someone who can open it. Only wish I had not wasted a chunk of my SSA money to buy this.

Bought the Arlo system and have five cameras, the text alerts on my cell are awesome. Let's me see real time if there is an issue apposed to viewing after the fact... Cheap piece of mind for securing loved ones and property!!!!

If you are looking for outdoor night security do not buy this camera. The simplicity of the setup is really nice but the motion sensor at night is weak at best. The delay of the video doesn't help you if you have intruders on your property at night. I suggest to look for a better night vision and motion sensor if you need eyes at night.

Have owned the system for 6 months. Cameras worked for a couple of months. Then the cameras started breaking down. One cameras motion sensor stopped working and now another cameras night vision has stopped working. Tried support but got nothing but the a runaround as well as several wasted hours. Very disappointed with net gear. No solutions yet. Just dont bother with these cameras.Nothing but an expensive problem.

This is not a surveillance camera. It's a security camera that detects motion when there should be none. That said, battery life is excellent and unless you have an intrusion, they should never be "on".

I like it....just wish you could connect to a monitor. Overall I like it.

The lag time between recordings is too long ! System pics up the motion, starts recording, you have to chose between 10 seconds and 2 minuets. Once that timer is done the camera stops recording, even if there is still motion. It then (lag Time) needs to upload the recording to the cloud, reset then it looks for a motion again. This sometimes takes 20 seconds or so. Time enough to miss a vital portion of a SECURITY issue !!!! Most likely taking these back !

Not the best video quality but overall good product

I shopped for an outdoor, wireless, battery powered, small, hd camera and these are the only ones I found. Everything seems to work well so far.

dont buy this,it is junk,app sucks,no sound,no manual,poor quality picture,records when it is not set to,big delay in movement and push service,the worst is the packaging, terrible design,impossible to open,cant wait to return it.

I've worked with several security camera systems in the past, mostly wired DVR systems. The ARLO wireless system was an interesting attempt at a truly wireless system that fell short in several areas for me. The IP based cameras can connect to a Netgear router with the appropriate firmware version with Arlo software. Unfortunately, there's only one router that fits this category right now (The r7500), so you're stuck with the small router/dvr system that comes with the system. The range on this router is HORRIBLE. I setup 4 cameras, all within 30 feet of each other and got constant missing camera errors. It doesn't help that you can't change any of the wifi channels to perhaps avoid interference with other wifi networks in your neighborhood. The batteries in the cameras seem to last long, but I only had the system 3 weeks before I got fed up with it and took it back to the store.

I love these cameras. I have full visual to multiple access points inside and outside of my home. Great for keeping an eye on my kids.
