    Camera has big lag to start recording and you miss what happened, motion sensor is terrible, 90% of the time does not work and with the lag to start recording makes this system useless, wasted money. If you look online for a solution, the system has been with the same problem since Netgear started shipping the product and no solution.

    We bought this system on sale during the past Christmas. Many friends also had purchased about the same time. This has major flaws.1. It needs expensive battery replacement every 2-3 weeks. 2. The rechargeable batteries are very expensive and need charging every 2 weeks.3. The picture capture is hit or miss4. The pictures are choppy. 4. Overall the design has major flaws and they should quit selling this.

    quit recording after 2 months. literally spent hours on the phone with netgear support. 3 different times! each one insisted I do all the same things the previous one did. out of patience. why didn't netgear just replace the camera? they said that was the problem, but I would have to wait a couple of days for a "higher up" to call me. their way of blowing me off. DO NOT buy this product. returning it to best buy.

    I could give more stars if it's not for the very poor tech support. I got two cameras, one outside that It cannot capture motions consistently and only record if the action is only less than a few feet away. I can see the picture and actions when clicking the live window on Arlo site, but only a few motions were recorded. The other camera is inside the house, when I put it right facing the window, it only capture motion once far across street in two days, but did nothing when I walk in front of it or when my gardeners were here working. When I moved the inside camera to the living room, it started capture action about 15 feet away but then later only record when I walked close. I spent 3 hours on the phone with tech support, she ran me in circles, Elen Expert ID: 46539, reboot the base, go outside test the motion, just did not get to the problem, she changed the sensitivity from 80% to 100%, can only enhance the recording of motion a couple feet. Finally, I asked her to escalate my case. I got her email back, no escalation! just send a link to a article and remind me the warranty is one year. I spend 2 days test the camera, I was software QA engieer for the last 20 years, before that I was programmer and software engineer for 13 years and tech support engineer for 2 years. If I did what Elen did to me to my customers, I would get fired.

    I read reviews before I ordered it. They were saying that it records late. It's true. It only catches the back of the person and always late to catch anything.

    These cameras have good intentions BUT don't work a lot of the time. Sometimes they are black and white, not color. Sometimes they just don't come on. Sometimes you can't get live shots. If you go out of town they may not work. THEN WHEN YOU HAVE TO BUY BATTERIES, SAVE UP! IT'S $42.00 PER CAMERA. I HAVE 4 AND THEY ONLY LAST ONE MONTH. THAT'S $168.00 per month for batteries!

    This system is terrible. The Cameras constantly disconnect from the base. When they disconnect the batteries drain instantly. I have 2-3 go down weekly. 20 dollars to replace the batteries every time. I've been back and forth with Arlo support for the last month and they have been no help. I am getting rid of these ASAP.

    So far not happy with mine! Can anyone answer this question? I have Carlo camera's, first, if a person knows your pass word can they turn camera off before intering your house, then turn it back on after they leave? If so, how do you change pass word? Has you can see we are seniors. Need help.

    Poor motion detection- stopped all together. No night vision. Dont buy it in a hot climate like AZ since sensors dont work in our temps.
