I love my netgear router. I had been having problems in my apt (very large apt) for months and this solved all connectivity issues.

This was purchased for my child's first apartment near her university. We easily installed it and got it working without a problem.

My new NETGEAR-AX1800 has been performing very well. It is outperforming my old model and my internet speed has increased.

Great product. This is the second one I’ve purchased. Easy setup and good customer service.

I was upgrading my r7800 to WiFi 6, but this didn't make it. After all of the setup frustration, it kept randomly kept dropping the internet. At times the power led turned orange and wired stopped too. Checking on the Netgear Community, i learned a few things: 1. Netgear CS is still terrible. Especially if you didn't buy their premium support. 2. Many people had the same issue. 3. Options are crazy. a. It must be your isp. b. Go back to an earlier firmware because we have an issue. c. Do a factory reset and reenter EVERYTHING. Naaaw. Back it goes.

Setup: TLDR: Quick and easy setup for all Setup was quick and easy. I was able to shut down my old router and wireless network and have the new one up in around 25 mins. The Nighthawk app walks you through the entire process and is significantly better than Netgear’s previous app. The app is definitely geared toward the novice user and helps you get up and going quickly. It is not geared for anyone in IT or who has a solid grasp of networking; however, these users can still login to the normal admin portal. Features and Performance: TLDR: Better Coverage than expected. Solid Speeds. Gets the job done. This router is advertised as working in up to 1500 sq ft homes. My home is over double that size spread over two floors and I have consistent coverage and speeds throughout the house. This surprised me based on how the device is marketed. One benefit is the compact size. Compared to my old AC2600 router, this device is significantly smaller. The antenna are also more solid then my previous device where the antenna used to fall over all the time. This router also has 4 Ethernet ports. I run several smart home devices and a NAS with no problems. I wish it had more ports; however, almost no consumer grade routers include 8 ports. WiFi 6 worked as anticipated and devices dynamically switched between 2.4ghz and 5 ghz networks. Only my phone is WiFi 6 compatible and the connection was definitely more stable then on my previous router. All WiFi 6 routers are backwards compatible so all devices worked as anticipated. Expectations: The device met my expectations. It functions as advertised. Coverage and speeds were good. It’s a bit pricey for what you get, but unlikely that you will be disappointed. Recommendation: I would recommend this for anyone with a small to medium home who is looking for a solid router that won’t break the bank, but will future proof you with WiFi 6.
