RAX20
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device was affordable, easy to install and works well. It has fast transmission speed and never loses the signal. And the bright indicator lights make for a nice night light in the office. Plus, I needed some technical help in installing due to user error and the service was excellent.

Excellent router and the price is good too
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Router works great. Plenty of coverage in my 1700 sq ft home. I have almost 50 devices connected to it. Mostly Arlo cameras and WEMO light switches.

Doesn't give me more than my old AC1200 router...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While didn't want to spend more than 200$ for new router. wanted to check this one and compare it to the other netgear under 200$ AX router (RAX40). I got a new PC with Icelake and wifi 6 inside. and tested it. with the RAX20 I got the same performance I got with my old AC1200 router. with the RAX40 I got double than this . googled and found out that the RAX20 is only 80MHZ while the RAX40 is 160MHZ . I think it doesn't worth to spend 170$ on a new router giving you the performance of an old one. I decided to pay 30$ more for the RAX40 and double my performance.

Lost all faith in Netgear
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Sleek, affordable. Cons: -An absolute mess of firmware/software solution. I'm not sure how the same company can put out a monster like the RAX80 and then squat and push these garbage extenders out. I've gone thru the AX6000 + AX1800 with VERY similar issues. -It doesn't detect the 5ghz band out of the box, you'll need to update your firmware after setup in order to do so. You'll need to log in and enable it after you update. -My RAX puts my speed is at 800/40 Mbps. The best this unit can muster is 180/30mbps at ten feet away from the RAX80. -Packet drops, packet drops, packet drops just like the AX6000.

Big disappointment
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this router Sunday and 4 days later it doesn’t work. Luckily I purchased a protection plan. I found the set up was easy but it has since become worthless.

AX1800
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this hoping to boost the wifi speed. On speedtest.net using my wifi router n type that is approximately 8 yrs old I got 159 mbs on wifi. My wired connection is 429 mbps. Approximately 30 ' away from the router with no walls or other devices connected except my laptop. I installed this router and ended up with the exact same Wifi speed. No improvement at all. I am pretty dissapointed. I am not sure how the advertised speeds of > 2 GB are achieved via wifi. Returning it today and will try out a mesh system.
