Customers are saying

Customers commend the AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 Router for its ease of use, strong performance, and wide range. Many appreciate the reliable signal strength and good coverage it provides, making it suitable for streaming and other demanding applications. However, some users experienced connection issues and found the accompanying app problematic. A few also noted compatibility problems with older devices.

This works well for most items in my house that need a WiFi connection. Unfortunately, my ~5 year old Vizio TV doesn't connect well to it. I can't watch netflix or amazon. (I was able to connect just fine using the AT&T-provided modem/router that I used to use.)

I needed a new one since the old one was not broadcasting far enough. This one ( with the help of a sales personal ) does the job I need it to do, may be in a couple of years I will purchase a stronger one, this is the one i wanted to afford the others way to expensive.

This router typically drops devices and won't reconnect until after its restarted. I typically have to unplug it twice a week. My last Netgear very rarely had this happen but eventually died. Disappointed.

I recently had an upgrade on my modem and bought my own router, app is alright. YOU MUST DOWNLOAD THE APP FIRST IN ORDER TO GET THE ROUTER WORKING! Overall it’s nice to have control over your internet

We needed a new WiFi router as ours was getting worn out. Spoke to an employee about different options, and had a great experience. He was very knowledgeable. The only difference with this router than my old one is when the power goes out. It doesn’t turn back on automatically when it comes back on. I didn’t realize it for a few days when I was wondering why it had stopped connecting. More of a user error though. Great overall router!

When this router works, it shines. I've gotten up to 480 mbps download speeds (about what I'm paying for). I can't speak to range because my apartment is small, but it gives me fewer connection hiccups than my previous decade old AP. However, I've got three major complaints with this router, and I wouldn't recommend you purchase it unless you either don't care, you get lucky and don't see these issues, or these issues get fixed 1) The "smart connect" feature aka band steering does not work consistently. I often find that my laptop has been placed on the 2.4 GHz band rather than the 5 GHz, despite being in the same room as the router. This severely restricts my speeds, and makes the fast theoretical speeds pointless 2) The router will periodically drop internet connectivity for just one of my devices at a time. For example, my laptop or phone will be able to connect to wifi, but be unable to connect to the internet (load any websites). Every other device will work fine, and ethernet will work fine, but that one device won't work 3) The admin site (router login.com) loads incredibly slowly and is frustrating to use. It would be a much better experience if it loaded faster. Additionally, the mobile app refuses to let me log into the router, despite me being certain that I'm entering the right password (it's the same as on the router login.com site) Overall, when it works, it works well. However, at least once or twice a week it will drop one of my devices, forcing a manual restart, and I'd hope that for the price I'd never need to do so. The broken band steering is also upsetting, as it means that I am both not getting the speeds I pay my ISP for and I am not getting the full potential of the router I paid for.

I got sick of constantly rebooting and then fighting the cable company to get my equipment to work. My research pointed to NETGEAR and I never looked back. I don’t have to think about my internet connection anymore.

This router seems to lose connection from time to time. However, the vpn feather works well. Also the parental controls are limited unless you pay a yearly subscription.

I purchased this router to replace my Eero Mesh Router. Eero does not allow you to have separate dedicated networks (2.4 vs 5 Ghz). This was causing me issues when trying to utilize Xbox Cloud Gaming since it really only works on 5Ghz. I have been using this router for about a day with no issues and have been able to finally use my could gaming service.
