Customers are saying
Customers highly value the ease of use, performance, and range of this Dual-Band AC1200 Router with 8 x 4 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem. Many appreciate its strong WiFi signal, good coverage, and relatively easy setup process, considering it a good value for the price. While some users noted that the device can get warm, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs this concern for most. Love it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great! Not exactly eye appealing but who cares. I’m not tech savvy so I had to have Comcast help me make it work, but then I’ve had no problems with it. I’ve had it for 6 months now with no problems whatsoever

Pretty Good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I expected more range, but while that may not be impressive the performance is notably better than the newest Xfinity modem/router I had. I have a very expensive LG sound bar and the only surround speakers you can buy (Music Flow) are all dependant on WiFi. The sound used to cut out randomly and do all sorts of weird crap. It still happens on occasion, but it is drastically less with this new router. I never get a notification on my speaker App saying "network connection unstable" like I did before. Any shortcomings with my stupid speakers I now blame on them alone. I've owned the router for two weeks and it seems pretty solid. My purchase was fairly impulsive, and subsequent research seems to indicate there are some potentially better options for the same money, but I'm pleased with this for now.

Highly not recommended
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bougth this router from a local Best Buy store with the purpose to save $10/month; I didn't want to rent router from Xfinity. But buying this product was a bad decision. On the first few weeks, lost connection frequently happened and I had to restart the router every 2 hours. Then, I contacted the technical support and they helped me with the issue. I thought that the issue will never come again, but I was wrong. The router frequently lost connection at least two or three times in a month. And yesterday, the connection lost again; and the router never work back again.

Ethernet ports died
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Product worked great for a time, but after a year of light use (kept in the same place, gently handled, surge protected) both ethernet ports stopped working. Wifi still worked, and I checked the ethernet ports on multiple devices to confirm. I performed a factory reset to no avail. When it works it work, but then it doesn't. Best Buy's 15 day warranty on devices you will use for years is a bit of a joke and Netgear's isn't much better.
