Way better than renting a modem from cable company

If you're renting a cable modem from your cable company and want an all in one solution for modem and wireless router then you will like this product. Some people want modem and router separate but if you're short on electrical outlets and want a clean install then this will be great for your needs.

The netgear router has been used heavily over the last two years and is still working quite well. The only issue I've had is having to occasionally restart it due to wifi issues, however this is not more than once every 60-90 days.

    Great modem/router from Netgear

This router is highly recommended by me as well as by Spectrum Cable company technical reps. The router is capable of handling the higher ranges of hi speed internet as provided by Spectrum. As my need for speed grows, the modem/router I'll need is already in my home.

It's big which isn't very space saving. Reminds me of a binder. It is a pain to setup via your internet company. It constantly drops wireless, So, don't use your PS4, e-reader for web or downloading, computers and tablets. You need to be hard wired for safety. Yet, that isn't a guarantee either because it looses connection to that to. I have made countless calls to my ISP and they say I haven't lost it, it must be the modem. So, I am taking it back and going back to regular modem box and regular wireless box. Of course I am buying the ones that offer the best speed like this was supposed to come close to. Don't buy Netgear either because their product is worse!

Purchased in order to eliminate the cost of renting a router/modem from ComCast and it has worked OK - have to "reset " the router thru NetGear APP which is cumbersome each time there's no internet thru this modem

    It works fine, but...

This router works perfectly fine, except the set up process was a hassle since the instruction/set-up manual's instructions were not working. ThenI called the developer's customer support to fix the problem and they were extremely rude and angry with me about their hardware and software not working properly. I'm aware that these two issues aren't Best Buy's fault since it was clearly the manufacture's fault given how they seemed to be familiar with the routers not work like they should upon installation. If I didn't experience the rude developer caller I would've given this device at least 4 stars.

I bought this due to a recommendation from a Best Buy employee for my Xfinity connection. It is working as expected. During the first month of operation, I have only had the wireless connection drop twice. I have not had to do a hard reboot. I am happy with the product.

Just what I was looking for, a modem router in one casing that provides Smart TV streaming and the internet at the same time. Netgear has provided a lower cost combo with the upscale high tech needed for today's world.

I bought this to replace my spectrum router/modem. I was getting poor signal and dropouts. The BB Associate recommended me this one. Set up was easy, I had to call spectrum to activate it. But the signal is great. No dropouts. Highly recommend.

I can't say anything bad about my purchase. I love that the password is is on a sliding tab. The only downside and it's minor is that the writing on the tab is very small but other than that I was satisfied with the buying experience and my router. Would definitely recommend.

I'm very happy with my router, the Best Buy rep recommended for me (even when my Time Warner rep recommended an older one), I decided to read a little more about it while I had it in my hands that day at the store. I haven't had any connection problems at all. Extremely happy!

This was an upgrade for the combo used by our local internet provider. This product is lite years better. This product is a very easy hook up and the connection speed is impeccable.

Needed a new router since mine only went up to 30Mb/s and I had a 80Mb/s interet plan. I also got tired of having two boxes. This worked perfectly and now my internet is back up to 70mb/s and I now have good signal in my entire 3 bedroom house. A little pricy, but worth it.

This is about Netgear modum. Works OK. But to connect to other devices such as Roku TV, requires expert help from netgear technicians. It took about two hours to connect to Roku TV. Comcast modem automatically connects to Roku TV and does not require assistance from Comcast technician.

I bought this gateway because of cost, reliability, and it's ability to use 2 bands simultaneously. I have some older devices that can't connect at 5 and newer ones that can so it's nice to run things on separate bands and free up some bandwidth for the faster devices.

Bought to replace rented router from internet supplier. The instructions could include place to record information from the bottom of the router and password that I was required to enter to get it connected to my system.
