Works as it should AFTER I called Spectrum to get it activated. I wish someone had told me before hand to do this but NO ONE did!

This is a such a great modem. We no longer suffer from internet issues. I have great internet anywhere in my house..I highly recommend this to anyone. It pays for itself. Totally satisfied

Works perfectly. Was having issues with rented equipment from our internet provider. Not one issue since the purchase of the NetGear router/modem.

So far, this router/modem is perfect! Bought it to replace the crappy ones supplied by our cable company, definitely worth the money spent!

The cheapest mediacom approved router/wifi combo. It get's the job done, but it's not going to blow you away with performance.

This router is excellent for what I needed. Used some Best Buy points to use toward the purchase so it wasn't too pricey for me. Save money in the long run by not having to rent a router/modem from the cable company.

Love having the modem and router in one. I was hoping to improve my WIFI but the cable company just keeps slowing it down. Straight hook up is wonderful.

This new router is a pain with Xfinity although it was supposed to be compatible! Also my old router:modem didn’t cost over $100. There are 2 named networks provided so had switch and change settings on numerous devices in my home. I also don’t see the difference between this one and my old one. I feel it was a waste of money.

All in all, I am happy with the product. With that said, if you have any technical acumen, don't get a combo. Further, depending on the packaging, you may be told that this modem has QoS (quality of service) capability, which allows you to monitor router traffic to your devices. IT DOES NOT! Also, while unrelated to the quality of this particular product, it is approved for Comcast. With that said, the QoS comment is pertinent if you have a 1 TB capped data plan with Comcast. Otherwise, you have to 'trust' their data usage (and if you troll the forums, this is a concern among Comcast subscribers).

Worked ok for a couple weeks, now I have to reboot it every 20 mins to get internet. I called Netgear who says it needs a new firmware update, the modem is brand new, but there isn't any access through them, you have to go through Comcast. Comcast says any firmware update goes through Netgear, not playing that game. What a waste of money. Description says that connections are awesome, even through walls. I had a problem with a connection that was right below the modem / router right below it in the basement. I think I am just outside the return window at Bestbuy. Not happy, will never buy another Netgear item. $200 paper weight that lasted 3 weeks.

Bought this item due to the increased use of mobile devices in the home(phone,tablets)...Also was using a range extender previously...upon installation, had great coverage throughout the house without the extender.

Good router for the most part. The Wi-Fi has a tendency to go down multiple times a week. I'm not sure if it's the internet service.

Bought this dual band router as a replacement for a router that was starting to have problems. This router offers stable wireless connections for both bands. Also the service was great when I called Netgear.

Bought this modem/router combo to replace the one from Spectrum. Really not much difference that I can notice, but cut $10.00 off my cable bill so won't feel that for a few months. Otherwise you can't Netgear products

It did speed up the internet speed, but I am honestly unsure if my issues are with spectrum being a garbage internet provider, or net gear being sub par.

To date, I have not used this purchase as hoped a lot due to timing but plan to disconnect DSL service and use this broadband service entirely. Time will tell if I have made a sound choice with this cable modem router.

worth buying.you should also buy a backup battery.we bought in case of power outages or surges.was told over time those surges damage your router.just a little fyi to think about.

We were recommended this router by service electric. The router is on the 2nd floor. We are very pleased. Good internet connection from it even in the basement.

We needed to upgrade our wifi with Time Warner cable and did not want to rent the router any longer. I told the associate what I was looking to do and he recommended this. So far it has worked great with no problems.
