    I'm not saying this isn't a good product, but we were having issues with our wifi. I was being dropped from my work connection. My sons' xbox games were lagging. We bought this to see if that would help. It didn't, but returned it for a Netgear Nighthawk router and that did solve our issues.

    It was difficult to get the modem to connect to my computers. When I finally did get it working, it would only last for a couple of days, or less. I would have to start the process all over again. The last time it gave me problems, I called my internet service, sure that it had to be a problem on their end. I was able to work with somebody who, for an hour, talked me through a lot of different possibilities and options. He finally concluded that it was the modem and then told me that it wasn't the first time that he had encountered problems with this model. Unfortunately, I had waited too long to get to the heart of the problem and I am stuck with an expensive mistake.

    I purchased a Netgear ac1750. It seemed to work well but when I tried to call customer support for additional information I called three different times of the day and spent almost five hours on the phone without ever getting someone at customer support to answer the call. I would not buy Netgear again despite having good luck with their products in the past.
