EXCELLENT MODEM ROUTER

It runs dual band 2.4ghz and 5.0ghz of which gives you a lot of option when connecting. If you have surveillance cameras like me that runs 2.4ghz we know it is a nightmare because it kills your wifi connectivity. With this unit it eliminates the problem. Ultra fast as I am now able to maximize my internet wifi speed. It speeds up so far the fastest I have on 5.0ghz bandwith is 260mbps. Simply amazing. Connecting to your existing internet provider is a breeze as all you need to do like I am with Time Warner is to give them the MAC ID and just plug it in and the unit is up and running. Highly recommended. I have nothing to say much on the distance, yes it slows down the speed just like any modem/router but still the speed you get is more of what you need for.

it wouldnt work with cox cable

Could not finish set up

Stay Away and do research

Huge mistake on this purchase. I am supposed to have 100 down and all i get when I’m outside is like 11 mbps. I should have returned it when I had a chance and to make it worse netgear doesn’t offer any support.

Keeps cutting out

Not the range advertised

Not too happy with this one

I was on with phone support for 55 minutes with no resolution. After all that I was just told to return it for another. I told the rep. I doubt I would take the chance to get another defective unit he was of NO help at all. He placed me on hold many times so he could talk with someone else. I asked why he just did not let me talk to that person he told me he could not do that.

Was extremely hard to set up

They advised this particual model and version they always have trouble with. Once we finally got it hooked up I couldn’t activate it on my end because it said it needed a firmware update so I ended up returning it .

Didn't work with comcast

Swapped for 2nd unit.... same issues, no signal, no wifi, on phone with comcast..... they sent tech to house, sign as long good. Had him put xfinity modem in n returned this Netgear. Waste of 2 trips n hours on the phone. Stuck renting again. Not worth trying to install "xfinity ready" Netgear

Worked well for a short while, now useless

It seemed to work well for a few months but now has frequent ( more than 20 a day) connection issues. Customer service is non existent, with the exception of searching through community posts online or unhelpful tutorials for troubleshooting yourself. Total waste of money.
