    I had great experience with previous Netgear equipment but this one started having issues within 3 weeks of purchase. I spent over 4 hrs. with techs at Netgear to get it to function again because Best Buy would not take it back. Still not working to spec. Will be asking for a replacement which Netgear has promised if it still had problems...we'll see.

    Refurbished equipment

    I bought this product thinking it was new and never used. When I tried to get it connected the customer service rep. told me it was refurbished; therefore I couldn’t take advantage of the full warranty. The modem/router was in a new box that appeared new and unused. I took the equipment back to the store and notified the manager. He claimed it must of happened at Netgear and not Best Buy.

    The salesman assured me that this was the best router for my needs. I told him I wanted to buy my own router to replace the one from the cable company so that I would not have to pay rent every month. I took this one because he told me it was what I need. If I use this one, I will not have a landline in my house. I have not tried to return it yet because I do not drive, and must wait until I have transportation to the store.

    Been a struggle with the internet drops going from 10 mbps to 300 really messed with my gaming.

    The wired performance were good but the drop outs were becoming irritating. it resets or drops out every 5-6 minutes. The wifi would drop out for no reason.

    Will not buy Netgear again. Had a good 8 year run with them but production quality not there. Modem/router combo manufacturers need to understand setup with service provider is painful and product infant mortality repeats that pain. Bought Eero mesh Wi-Fi and still using the modem half but no more Netgear.

    I've only had it for 1 year and 4 months, but apparently after even so short a time there is absolutely NO SUPPORT for this router unless you pay. It's not working right and I have no one to call for help.

    I was told this product was one of the best at the time I purchased it, but still after 4 months it stopped working with my service provider so I had sporadic internet. The tech told me it was a known problem specific to this model and now after $189 and 5 months I am SOL on getting a refund. Thanks Best Buy, guess your recommendation did not work out but you got paid for bad advise

    I've been using Xfinity blast internet with Comcast's rental modem. That modem/router is the biggest piece of junk ever, so I had to upgrade to something better. I found the Netgear AC1750 Dual-Band Wireless-AC Router with DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem, and I couldn't be any happier with how fast my internet is now. Everything is instant when surfing the web. No more bandwidth problems when searching through online game servers. That was one of the big problems with the old rental modem - it would lock up the internet at random or it would lock up whilst searching through online gaming servers. I simply had to review the item because of how happy I was with this modem/router. All you have to do is contact Comcast's support service, ask to setup a new device, then a person should help step you through the process to make it work. Took 20 minutes, maybe less, to get it setup. *NOTE* You can't use a phone service with this router.

    Worked fine for 24 hours then wouldn’t connect to internet through Comcast. Returned it for the next higher priced Netgear is nit which has worked flawlessly for several weeks. While I recognize that early failures do occur and are not necessarily related to longevity for products the get past this, still can’t recommend this particular model.

    10/22/2022 No longer working! What a ripoff $150 for less than 3 months…no longer returnable, why would Best Buy sells this trash to their customers?
