Purchased this router as a replacement for the router my provider had installed. I am very pleased with the performance, and ease of the installation. Definitely worth the price.

My cable provider informed me that my old modem/router combo would no longer be supported. After lengthy research and reading multiple reviews, I decided on the NETGEAR AC1750 as the best replacement option based on price point and consumer reviews. I have only had it a month but I was very impressed with the ease of initial setup. It seems to work well as I have definitely had increased speed and service since bringing this online. I even had an issue with slow speeds about two weeks in (the cable provider's issue, not the modem) but NETGEAR customer support was knowledgeable and actually helpful. I did have to sign up and register the modem to find a telephone number to call otherwise they do everything through online support. Overall (and thus far) I am quite pleased with this purchase.

I needed a modem that would work for mediacom/Comcast, and this modem met all of the requirements, was easy to install, very fast, and had its own build in wifi. I strongly recommend this modem.

Comcast modem started dropping cable connection and coming back after 15 or so mins. Tech was scheduled to come by in a few days. Decided to just "get my own". just installed. speed test went from about 110mbs to 180. ...and I am getting that same speed on wireless 5g. as long as it does not have an early life failure, I am really pleased.

This is very powerful modem+router and it allows 5G connection to the capable devices. My laptop has advanced WiFi Ethernet adapter which supports 5G. I can see that browsing speed is blazing fast and of course, it depends on internet service provider and mine is with Cox.

    Fast modem router combo

Fast speeds, it can handle multiple device households gaming and streaming at the same time is no problem. Only issue is the genie interface it says to use to set it up etc has not been updated to support this model but if you have some general router knowledge you should be ok.

Excellent modem replacement for Xfinity Internet

We just bought this modem/router from Best Buy on Christmas Eve. Previously, we had a Technicolor TC8305C Comcast-leased modem that seemed to work fairly well with our Blast! Plus 50MBbps service. However, the Netgear C6300 certainly surpasses what I believe to be a more than reasonable Technicolor modem/router. This device is geared towards the 802.11ac standard -- essentially the latest and greatest, speed-wise. It also has 3x3 MIMO (multiple-in, multiple-out) wifi capability along with excellent 5GHz connectivity. In other words, the wifi range is some of the best I've seen in various routers throughout the years and the 802.11ac standard at 5GHz is officially the fastest I've ever had my or my wife's iPhones/iPads operate in the house. Activation via Comcast was very much of a breeze; within 10 minutes of beginning the web-based activation process, the modem was online and ready to go. Regarding the firmware, while it appears that it can be manually upgraded to some extent, my understanding is that CableLabs -- the folks who deal with the DOCSIS standard (of which this modem is at the 3.0 level) -- currently maintain that all such modems (not sure if this applies to routers) are not to be automatically upgraded. Not sure how true that is, but it would explain the relative difficulty of attempting to find an explicit option in the menu system to do such an upgrade. As far as navigating the internal router pages is concerned, while it is somewhat slow (typically takes approximately 5 seconds or so for a given page to render), it isn't horrendous, and I was able to get basic password changes performed in a couple of minutes. While the device is a tad on the pricey side, so far, the device has been operating for us flawlessly and, more importantly, seems to be an excellent means of getting rid of the Xfinity modem fee (which I heard from other tech blogs some months ago that Comcast makes somewhere around $1 billion/year on).

I'm sure its good but support is poor

bought this modem to solve some problems we were having with Time Warner provided modem and port forwarding issues with my son's Playstation. It was easy to set up and activate but the documentation is lacking and the tech support personnel are difficult to understand and their instructions assume you understand networking. We were never able to get the port forwarding set up so that the playstaion would work so we are selling this modem on ebay and switching back to AT&T since we know his playstation works fine with AT&T internet service. AT&T uses their own modems. I would only recommend this product if you are technical or willing to pay someone extra for support. The phone support from Netgear was very frustrating.

I had a Comcast rental modem/router that's WIFI worked great at 5 feet away, but at 50 feet, the connection speed dropped from 55 Mbps to 5-10 Mbps. I wanted a modem/router combo and chose the Netgear AC1750 product because it has the AC capability, as does my computer and the results have been very pleasing. My WIFI speed is now a consistent 55 Mbps all through the house. Easy to install and couldn't be happier with the choice.

Not fully compatible with NETGEAR Genie

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Does not support advanced Parental Controls: I bought this because it has great reviews and Best-buy listed it as compatible with NETGEAR Genie. I have several kids and wanted the Parental Control function of the Genie. When I got home with it I noticed that the Genie app was not listed on the box so I called NETGEAR presales to verify that it would have this capability (I found a list of compatible routers and it was not one of them). The guy on the other end at first didn't seem to know the model of router I was referring to. Then he assured me that it would work and provide the PC capabilities. "IT DOES NOT" as I was informed by the knowledgeable tech support person I spoke to after I opened the box. Don't trust their presale tech support (I would give them -1 Star, although the 2nd girl was very helpful)

This is excellent modem/router. The setup was very quick and smooth. I use Comcast as my ISP, and just connected this router through the Xfinity App. The speed and connectivity is very stable. Do some research and you might find half the price from another retailer.

I purchased this to replace my Wireless N modem. Going to AC is a huge leap forward, especially riding the 5ghz channel. I couldn't be happier with this device. It was incredibly easy to configure and it comes packed with features (parental controls, guest mode, etc...).

    Works fine with TWC

Installation was very easy. I had to call TWC for activation and it took about 10 minutes (including waiting time). The wifi range is just slightly better than Netgear RangeMax Dual-band but I still need wifi extender for coveting some dead spots.
