    Wifi off out of the box, and help doesn't work

    I bought this product on recommendations from the Best Buy associate and reviews. I get it home and it comes up and recognizes the ISP just fine. Only the wifi won't come on. After much time online going through all help, I am unable to connect to the router, even using an ethernet cable and every address provided in the online help. These products should come up and work right out of the box. I'm very disappointed to now face hours on the phone waiting on Netgear, or returning the product.

    I have owned this for about two years. At first it was fine but needed shutdown and rebooted about once a month, now, not a week goes by that I do not need to reboot it. In addition, logging in with my browser was difficult, at first it would give me problems after making changes, then I could only log in after rebooting, now chrome has updated to V72 and it will not login at all. IE still works if I reboot the router first, but if I stay in too long it will time out and will not let me in until I reboot. I am fed up!

    Do not buy this cable modem. Check with blog or other source for product reliability. Cannot return this to Best Buy due to over 14 days. Netgear support have rates on helping to make C6300 work but no good. I've called comcast more than 4 times in two months but little they can help on the non xfinity modem. Conclusion: don't buy this product. The modem SBG6580 lasted in my usage for several year until it gave up two months ago. NOw I'm shopping for new modem.

    Was great for about 6 months...CHEAP BUILD QUALITY. Does not perform as it should, especially for the price. I pay for 150 download, it only gives me around 40-60. and I know that I will never actually get 150 but I should easily be able to get at least 100 every day. TECH SUPPORT IS TERRIBLE. I will never buy another net gear router in my life. I have spent a total of 4 hours on tech support and they have yet to even come CLOSE to solving my issue.

    This modem was a little over a month old and it has crapped out already. Netgear customer support is not located in the US and the reps are a bit to a lot hard to understand. A replacement is being sent, however they must receive the old one before they send out a new one, unless you pay 29.00, then they will ship out right away. Poor customer service.

    Netgear C6300 - won't last long

    I had to return the first one because it kept dropping Wi-Fi. Second one didn't give me problems until month two. Third one just died completely after 18 months. And you guessed it - the warranty is for 12. If you need an expensive modem for 18 months or less, buy this product. At nearly $10 per month in cost, it's probably better just to rent one from the stupid cable company. Come on Netgear!

    Intel puma 6 chipset defective.

    I bought one of these online, not from BB. It comes with a intel puma 6 chipset. It's defective. I am looking to BB to see about getting one through them but definitely not this one. BB is a great place, but please make sure it doesn't have that chipset or pull it off the shelf. Thanks.

    Issue with incorrect password

    After only 5 months of weak wifi, I started getting "incorrect password." I registered my product, and they wanted to charge me. I found answers on google. You have to reset your router, and then it will work. many people have had to reset numerous time. So if you buy, get support immediately and ask them what to do when it does this, and how to stop it.

    I purchased this modem/router so I didn't have to rent one for $10/month. It never worked. The first install guy left. The second one tried to troubleshoot for over an hour, just to have one of their modems work. Not only do I have to return it, I'm still paying $10/month.

    It lasted a few days. I would not recommend it. I switched it out hoping it was just a lemon. I was wrong! The second one was just as bad.

    Got this 2 months ago... Been on phone with Comcast level 3 support and netgear level 2. It's a bad product id go with Sysco systems. Netgear c6300 is garbage it goes out 2-3 times a day on me and I need to reset it each time.

    Cable provider after spending 40 min. trying to get connected and the next day with a computer tek on phone with Netgear tek 40 min.at a cost of $75.00 nada and then drive hr. and half to return not a happy camper.

    My cable modem worked fine for a few months but now is useless. Do a web search on c6300 wireless disconnects before relying on this product. Lot's of money for something worthless...

    Had to get a replacement router when my old one died. Made sure this is compatible with my isp. Get set up. Only wired connection is stable. WiFi craps out constantly
