I was tired of the cable company's fees, decided to buy my own router. Works great, occasionally needs reset as with any router.

For a small house or apartment the unit gives a good signal but more than one room away you will need a more powerful router.

No issues with service, has worked well. If your internet speed is above 100mbps, use as modem only with a better router.

    Okay Modem/Router For Home Use

Does not work with Comcast Business/Residential service with a static IP. Device only works with their DHCP service. It's a Comcast thing and not really the device's fault... You're only paying $100 for this thing and will recover that cost in 10 months. Decided to use it for the home instead and got rid of the extra monthly equipment fee. Performance is good.... I'm getting my designated 150 Mbps speeds. Not really concerned about the low wireless bandwidth limits others have issues with. Just use a separate AP that you can plug in to one of it's only 2 GB ports. That's one of the negatives... you only get 2 Gigabit ports and that's it, so you'll have to split that with a Gigabit switch for more physical connections. The second issue is with the fixed network subnets. The wireless guest network is fixed to the 192.168.1.X subnet. You cannot change the main subnet to 192.168.1.X, or change the wireless guest network to anything else. Static IPs set to devices like printers because of an old router that used the 192.168.1.X subnet will need to be reconfigure when using this modem/router combo. The default subnet on this is set to 192.168.0.X.
