Good Buy

I turned in my Time Warner Router after leasing for over a yr & had problems uploading/downloading. This is FAR better router than before. IF you've been renting/leasing a Spectrum/Time Warner router for over a yr - it's time to replace it & purchase your own. You'll be glad you did.

Easy to Set Up and Use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Netgear - N600 Dual-band Router With Docsis 3.0 Cable Modem for my son who just moved into his first apartment. He didn't want to have the rental on the cable bill. Once the cable company hooked up the cable, we just plugged this in and it worked perfectly. Privacy is key, and obviously a password is needed to log-in to the wi-fi.

Bad range

The range on this router is so bad that I have to turn off my WiFi and use my LTE on my phone to do searches while in another room which is about 50 feel from the router.

Decent Replacement

It's a decent router for her small apartment. It works like it's supposed to, except that it was having a hard time finding and connecting her HP wireless printer. Once we got it to finally connect, then it was all fine.

It have one problem, if you turn on 5G wifi on dual (modem plus router) mode then it hangs up on time to time. If you dont turn on 5G wifi or use in any single mode (any of router or modem) its works perfect. In router mode we can turn on both 2.4 and 5G wifi with no problem.
