I'm now back to using the isp provided modem without wifi...

Comcast connectfor landline must have phone jack!

To connect with a landline with Comcast, you will need to have a phone jack with the modem, in order to have phone service. Wish Best Buy would have communicated this before the product was purchased.... Who Knew?
