When internet provider came out to install he told me that it wasn't a good product to use and recommended another brand. I bought it because it was one a sales rep at Best Buy said it was what I needed.

This modem may work wonderfully, but I needed a modem with at least one telephone port, and this one had none. I returned it to Best Buy, hassle free as always, and purchased the Arris, which works great.

I bought the router in order to save on renting one from Time Warner. It works as it should but when I am in my bedroom I sometimes have weaker signal than I should only one room away in my apartment.

WiFi is unreliable and does not carry well in a home. Has to be reset often to reestablish quality data speeds. Overall is an ok router for the price

I bought this for my internet that offers speeds of up to 50megs. I was expecting a better signal range than my stock AT&T Router, not the case. This has about the same amount of performance.

Worked well for 3 months until it stopped working. I had to claim the factory warranty to get it replaced.
PS: 25$ for 2-day shipping of replacement under warranty.

This router has been okay for the time I've had it. I've had a few issues where the wifi didn't pick up on my phone . I had a 300 router that had better range than this one.

After reading the review about this product, I thought it will be great but it isn't different from the one I leased from Comcast.

Pay up for a better modem router

Having had two hiccups with my Comcast cable service in the past three weeks I now realize that I should have paid more to purchase a modem router with a battery backup. Television service came back without incident, but WINK and NEST connectivity needed to be reestablished manually.
Bottom line: if you have only basic internet needs, then this modem router is for you. Otherwise be prepared to open your wallet wider for a product that prevents service disruptions to other connected products in your home.

Overall this is an okay unit. I have a 3/2 house and the signal gets weak at the opposite end of the house. I expected better for a product that cost as much as this!

With TWC not 300 MBs -only 100 MBs

A good modem for the price but beware if you are a TWC customer. The box says 300 MBs and TWC approved but in reality you can only get 100 MBs. I called TWC and they told me only use the approved modem list. I called Netgear and this modem only has 4 channels but TWC needs 8 to get the 300 MBs. Why does Netgear say 300 MBs on the box? Netgear told me they are going to change the packaging.

I wish I would have spent a bit more and got the better model. This one works and does what it supposed to but it has some dropping issues in the house.
