I bought this to replace the router I was leasing from Comcast. It’s awful. It drops the signal frequently around the house unless you’re in my office where it’s located. Also has negatively impacted download speeds. Not worth the money & I’m going to try to return it. Would give it 0 stars if I could!

I was very displeased. Trying to save money with Xfinity, by getting my own router. Epic fail! It connected but I couldn't watch YouTube,Netflix, or listen to Pandora. I never got it to connect to the WiFi on my phone. Needless to say I still use Xfinity router.

Best Buy sales people say it’s easy to install and use on just about everything sold in the store or online. But, unfortunately not everybody is able to get some things to work. I returned mine after 2-3 days of trying to get it to do what I bought it for.

I was told by spectrum to purchase a router and modem. I was going to buy them separately until the employee told me there is an all-in-one. The speeds are extremely slow

This is a very nice modem/router combo for people with a small home or apartment. I can be up to 50' away and still get good signal through walls and doors. Setup was quick and easy, and with the money I safe from renting a device from Xfinity will pay for this before my contract is up. It's one downfall is that it only has two Ethernet ports, but the wifi signal is solid so I haven't had any problems streaming on demand or Netflix or playing my PS4 online using wifi.

This router worked fine for almost exactly 8 months, and then it just died. It will no longer power on (we've tried multiple different power outlets, cords, etc.). I would not purchase another Netgear product after owning this one.

    Good, but could be better

Pros: Easy to setup. Took about 30 minutes, but that was because I had to deal with comcast directly. Fast: The speeds are better than I was getting with my Comcast Modem. Plus I'm saving the modem rental which is always nice. Wifi Range is great. It reaches back to my kids bedrooms which is through several walls and only lost 1 bar on 2.4. Con: The Parental controls are a joke. You have to sign up for OpenDNS which requires you to change the DNS of your router to theirs. They need controls that are built in to the device not through another company. Overall I would highly recommend this modem. I would have given it 5 stars if the Parental Controls were better.
