Excellent router

I've this router for over a month now and I have yet to have any issues. I previously had a Brighthouse issued router and was paying for the fastest speed and signal kept dropping and couldn't have more than 3 devices connected. With this Netgear router I haven't had any issues, it's easy to setup and manage. I've read some negative reviews about the app, but it fits my needs. You can set up and easy to remember password and with the app, you can easily set up guest devices. I have a laptop, 4 iPads, 4 smartphones and an Apple TV connected at the same time and no issues

Bought this for my dad's house. Signal reaches his downstairs without issues (not full "bars"). Easy to set up so I would recommend it for anyone who doesn't want to fuss with tech.

Weak 5G Signal

I purchased this modem/wifi router combo about a month ago. Very easy to hook up and run. The only complaint is the 5G signal strength.
I have Time Warner with a 100mbps internet plan. Had router set up next to my desk and I could connect to the 5g signal but I would only receive 70mbps. In the living room which is about 15 yards away the 5G signal would cut in and out. When it dropped to 2.4G I would only receive 25mbps. I had Time Warner send a tech and he said the problem was with the strength of the modem/router.
Today I bought a Arris SB6183 and Linksys AC1200 modem and router sep and it works great. With the Linksys 5G I receive 118mbps.

Good Modem/Router

Bought it to replace Xfinity to stopped paying the monthly fee, the modem works great and gets top speed when using ethernet. When using WIFI it gives half of whatever tier you are paying for Comcast. This is a N router and it states it's 5Gz but only gives you 2.4. I have 150 mbps plan and only getting 50-60 mbps. I'm returning and getting me Netgear AC to get top speeds.

Works well. Some problems with wireless devices

Overall this work well. We have noticed that our wireless devices do not immediately connect to it, but rather locate a weaker signal from an alternate access point in another area of our home.

It's hard to review because I have little to compare it to. But honestly I've had more issues with my internet since I got it then before. I bought it because I was tired of paying the rental fee to my internet provider for their router/modem. The reason why I'm not leaving a worse star rating is because I also changed my service, so that might be a contributing factor. I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt. For the most part though, it works fine, but I was expecting it to perform better than what it does.

Nice to have a cable modem and WIFI router in 1. Has some extra features such as storage that I look forward to exploring when I find time. Nice to have an on/off WIFI button right on the device.

I purchased this router because I was having the Internet installed at my house and didn't want to pay a monthly fee from the cable company to rent theirs. This router said it would work with time warner cable and was one of their approved units. One note is that it has a funny name as the pass key

5 minute install on Comcast

We got this for personal use in our home and for customers in our home business. Netgear technical support claims that this device can support a maximum of 20 wireless devices at once. I like the Guest network feature and the fact that you can activate one or both frequencies for the network. I selected 2.4 GHz for the guest network. Overall the range is on the weak side. At 80 feet our apple devices are down to 1 bar. This is a small home with vinyl siding and a level lot. I don't understand this since I see 5 other netgear devices around me in the neighborhood that are showing almost full strength.
Easy setup with no issues. 90 day free telephone support. Recommended unless you need extended range.

I've had this for a year and it was fine while on the lower speed Com#%st internet service. Once I upgraded to the higher speed, it started having frequent disconnects.
We had a service call and our service is fine.
I've read other comments online that this unit struggles with connectivity to mobile devices when downloading high def videos and straming.

I bought this a couple weeks ago on sale and have been very happy with it. Perfect for my family needs. I have Comcast Peformance Internet (60mbs) and this router in speed tests at home has been going above 70mbs where my old router I replaced which was over 6 years old was clocking in at 20-25mbs in speed tests.
