I liked the idea of a modem/router combo because it would be easy to connect and I could cut down on the number of wires. This was less expensive than buying a modem and router separately and maybe that should have been a clue that it wouldn't perform well. I have a small 1 bedroom apartment and the signal barely reaches from one end to the other at times, it fluctuates a lot. I also don't like that for some wps connected devices I can't choose what band they're connected to and can't even tell what it connected to by default. The software to manage it is great though. I can choose the channel I'm on easily and see what's connected. I will be returning this but I will get another netgear device.

Love the fact that the modem and router are combined to save space, looks nice and works well. Highly recommend.

My current internet service speeds don't need the top range router/modem, but they are fairly fast. This was recommended to me in-store by the staff to be most compatible with my service and he gave us all available discounts as well, making it a great deal over the other choices. No problems yet.

It's sad that companies disclose what they want to, to try and sale a product, and not really advertise as it should be. They advertise that this modem can handle download speed up to 340mbps. So with my 200 mbps service, i'd figured it should be adequate. I buy this product based on a recommendation from the guy who installed my cable (obviously, he didn't know what he was talking about either). I install it, and it only download at maximum peak at about 1/3 of what they advertise. with my rental modem, i was getting at peak download time up to 25 megabyte per second.. or 250 megabits per second. When downloading at the same offpeak hours when my download speed is at it's max.. this modem downloaded 13 megabyte per second max or 130meabits per second. so they are advertising that it can download up to (here's where they screw you, by saying it can go up to).. not sure where in the world they were testing it and got up to 340 mbps... but sure isn't where normal people are living. I mean, if they advertise it can download up to 340, shouldn't it be able to download at least half the speed? I would give this modem and company a zero star rating if it was allowed. Not only does the download speed suck.. the wifi signal is so weak, the wifi area i used to get with my rental modem... all i get is, no connnection error message. All i can say is.. im returning this and buying from another company. Never will trust NetGear product anymore, and will make sure I relay that to all my friends and colleague

This modem/router rocks.. Had it set up in less than 30 minutes. Of course, had to enter encryption codes for all the pc's, printers, TV's etc... Very easy setup. replaced 2 separate cisco modems and routers with this one device. Not at all difficult...

This purchase was mainly done because I did not want to pay the extra monthly fee for the time warner box they provide to you via their services. This modem/router was the perfect price and a two in one deal. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

I have no problem with this wifi yet. We really like it. Running ok so far.

This was easy to set up. Had it out of box and running in less than ten minutes. Coverage hits my entire apartment and even out to the street. So far I have streamed videos without any issues.

Bought one modem and had issues with it so I returned it. Aparent Xfinity said it was end of life This one was not and it works fine with my Xfinity internet service. It was a breeze to set up and have not had any issues.

No problems. Working great. Very easy setup. My cable provider is Spectrum. Love the dual band. Good WiFi range. My house is 2500 sf.

This is an awesome cable modem, and it works wonderfully with Xfinity. The set up was easy and this product keeps you from having to pay monthly leasing fees.

I needed to get a Cable router that would both work with Comcast, and remove the rental fees, and this both and then some. It was easy to setup both physically, and with Comcast. It also says on the box that it can work with most internet providers so if I go with a different provider, this router can transfer over. The wifi that this router provides is blazing fast. It's actually faster then the one I rented, showing that this router is the better bang for buck. The only draw back for me is that this router has only two Ethernet ports, which I use with media streaming devices connected to my TV. If your looking to get rid of rental fees, this WILL both remove it and it'll pay itself over time.

Great modem/wireless router, never any issues, no lag, resets or any other issue, was easy to set up, what more could someone ask for?

I've had this router over 3 years with no problem. Handles 5+ devices with no noticeable slowdown. I personally think it can handle more than my DSL can offer. Recently added a new 64 bit laptop with no "compatibility" issue. I can't think of anything else one could expect from a router.

This does great in my medium sized town home. Anything larger I would want to get a more powerful device but this does the job perfectly for not too much money!
