The guy at Best Buy said this was just one step below the very best wifi/router they had. However, in our house it barely covers. Wifi calling is terrible. The signal comes and goes. We have to restart it about once a week. It's just unreliable, which is terrible for an expensive machine that I now can't return.

I could never maintain a connection on 5g with my iPhone 6 or on my Galaxy Tab 4. So I switched to 2.5g and forgot about it. 2 weeks ago I bought a Roku 3 which can only connect through 5g. Now it's a problem. I did a search of Netgears community support and lots of people are having the same issues. It was there that I also learned the slow loading pictures on my LAN connected PC, are also caused by Netgear. The product is under warranty so I called customer support. They wanted to charge me $129 to fix a $110 modem. I told them I'd replace it with another brand instead. Then he said they could give me 30min support for $39. Seriously? Is this a scam? Your modem has a known problem. I'd steer clear of this model if you need a steady 5g connection, or you want to surf Facebook without waiting minutes for pictures and links to download.

Love the software and the installation process was painless. Much better than Comcast top of the line. However, needs a little more range for 2-story 2600 sq.footage home. Free app is handy but needs work.

The firmware supplied on this (1.01.11) does not do IP address reservations correctly. I was only able to get it to take 3 addresses and that was after searching the internet to get it to do ANY. Went to NetGear tech support and they said a firmware upgrade would fix the problem. Problem is THEY (Netgear) does not provide the upgraded firmware it has to be pushed from the ISP. My ISP (MediaCom) says they cannot upgrade the firmware on PERSONAL cable modems just those they lease and that is done automatically. So I just bought an expensive paperweight.

I had cox set up modem and was ready for it to go. Problem? Parental controls DO NOT WORK! the first netgear rep said it the genie was not compatible to the iOS update but finally a rep emailed me back and said that the C3700 parental controls DO NOT WORK!!!!! SERIOUSLY!!! I honestly bought this thing for this very reason as my netgear modem from three years ago parent controls worked wonders! GRRRRR!!!! How does this happen when a product says that it has it!? I even cross referenced it with the netgear site BEFORE i bought it from best buy to be sure! BEST BUY....beware!!! they claim they are working on it but no date of available upgrade to hardware.

I got this modem router and it simply does not work. At least after a while, the wired and wireless router part, despite being operational as far as the LAN is concerned, they don't allow access to the Internet. Accessing the web page of the router everything seems under control and working, though. I asked Netgear support and they don't have a clue and ended up swapping it for an equivalent unit at BestBuy... next time it happens (between 1 week to a month and the last is already starting to show signs) I will try to change it for a different brand/model.

After reading the reviews and asking the store associate, I purchased this router for my new Time Warner Cable Internet. After a few days, seems to do the job just fine. No issues so far.

My husband and I got rid of Comcast router and replaced it with this router. It's doing a good job so far and we are saving a lot. Best Buy has the best stuff we need.

I am using first product from Netgear and it is working so awesome. I can use internet smoothly even I am in the next to two rooms. It delivers the service as expected. I would recommend this to my friends.

I am happy with the overall performance of this router. I especially love the 5g band to differentiate between my devices and not getting interference/crossing signals

I bought this on the recommendation of the chat rep online. He was super knowledgeable and did a good job. However I bought this to replace the Motorola modem from years ago that seemed to be having an issue with dropping service. I had the TWC guys out a few times to check connections. I looked at the log for this modem and it was dropping every few minutes. I decided to return it after I saw this was something that was very commonly reported online in reviews and such. I got the Arris Surfboard from BestBuy and it is working great. TWC also replaced the cable just because and I haven't had any dropping of service since. I think this is probably a good product but needs tweeking. Not such a good idea to get modem and router together it seems....hope this is helpful...

Granted I have a one bedroom. Works pretty well, sometimes there are some issues with the 5G when I try to connect with my phone, but it seems to sort itself out,

This unit works great for streaming netflix and gaming. I run it on a network, usually using two or three devices at once and have had no problems.

Netgear has a winner here, the dual radios and rock solid wireless is a plus! Netgear does however need to include documentation with this unit, including troubleshooting tips.

Bought to replace an older Zoom, worked for about 15 minutes after the initial setup. Then stopped. The lights are fine, but no internet connection, wired or WiFi. Hours on the phone with Comcast and Netgear support, both tried to reprovision, patch, etc. Nothing works. Hardware purchase should not be a hit or miss experience, not a lottery. Would stay away from Netgear now, tech support is very frustrating experience too, do not seem to care or know much.

skip this modem, i am really disappointed at netgear, since i had two routers before and always have been amazing. i have been having trouble with this modem since i got it from Best buy 3 months ago, it looks like it has latency problems, TWC and NETGEAR, have not been able to help me with this problem. Time warner technicians advise to go with ARRIS/motorola modem, which i think ill buy in the next couple of months, and get rid of this modem! ugh!

I love this for my wireless internet. with this product I haven't once had to restart the system which I've had to do with many other wireless internet modems/routers.

I bought it to be able to share internet connection at home. With this wireless router I can connect my iPad on internet everywhere at home without hassle.

This modem router combo has been working wonders for me. Has never cut off or disrupted my internet connection. Works best with xfinity internet services.

Worked well for 3 months but then it began to intermittently drop the signal. I could not get a steady, strong enough signal to consistently send email or look up anything online. I did a little research on the issue and it seems a number of people experienced the same thing. I need reliability. This one is going back into the box.
