The only downside I've noticed is that it occasionally disconnects, which can be frustrating when trying to fill out online forms, only to have to fill out the same page more than once. Other than that it's a pretty good modem, especially for the price.

Xfinity easy set up

Just remember to change the Admin password to something other than "password" so others can't log in and get the wifi password and free access!

Great reception for our tv and internet service

Works near perfectly - no dropouts.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Modem WiFi unit provided by Comcast / Xfinity would lose connection within minutes too often - I had to reset my Laptop's driver by disabling then re-enabling it to reconnect as the Cable Co.'s unit changed its connection "type" - that is the best I can describe from what the Windows Events Log showed. This Modem connects up within a minute and the 5G works great through 2 walls and 20feet.

Great router/modem combo

His old one was a little outdated, and putting this in instantly doubled his bandwidth.....which is a plus for us when we visit! Setup was quick and easy, and networking his printer from it made it possible to print from all of his devices. I went with a "medium" router because he doesn't have as many devices as I do in my home, so this router fit him perfectly!

This works just as well as the one they rent out for $10 a month. If you don't have a landline, than this is the perfect replacement. It works really well so far and it was extremely easy to set up.
