Good on a budget

Meets Cox requirements. 2. 5ghz bandwidth is excellent for our phones and other devices. 3. One single unit helps us save space and keeps my work area where my main desktop PC is located tidy. 4. Affordable. 5. Easy setup, Cox contractor had this unit attached to the network and good to go in 10 minutes. GUI was simple to navigate and I was able to configure it to my liking easily. Advanced controls are useful and, living in an apartment complex, I was able to switch to less populated channels and saw a ~4% increase in Wi-Fi download speed and a 5ms drop in ping. If you have a larger household with more people, the advanced controls are also useful. Reasons we (or at least I) don't like it: Unit is temperamental when resetting it. We went out of town and we unplug all unnecessary electronics when leabkng, including this. Plugging it back in after 3 nights out of town and it didn't want to establish an uplink with the ISP. Turning it off then on again resolved it, but then the connection wasn't stable. After performing a hard reset, everything went back to normal but I had to go in and reconfigure my settings (password, channels, etc) again.

Great modem/Router

Some times it is active and some times it is not. I tried to get help from Netgear and their Customer support is not good. They kept me on hold for atleast 30min and The voice quality of the call was poor and got disconnected in two minutes.
