Dual band makes it worth it since the 5g is fast!!

I purchased the NETGEAR N600 as I needed a new wireless router due to my old one dropping the signal often and having to be restarted. The N600 served the purpose of relieving me of the cable company's lease of a modem, as has done a very good job so far. The only drawback is the short range of it's wireless signal requires the router to be placed in the center of the house for the signal to be adequate throughout the house. This was a problem for me as my cable connection and ethernet wires to two sites in the house are in an upstairs study. Other than the low range issue, the unit has worked very well.

I bought this based on customer reviews and price. I needed a router & modem for my internet service through Time Warmer and this was compatible. Great combo for the price. It beats renting from TWC.

This is an excellent all-in one gateway; it is easy to set up and FAST. The only drawback I have seen is that it only has two Ethernet ports, so you may need a switch if you connect more than two wired devices.

I really enjoy this modem/router, I have been through a couple such as Motorola, etc, but this netgear is way better when it comes to performance and price.

I am able to use all of my devices without any loss of service, and the settings are easy to configure. Overall, great utility for the price.

I haven’t had any connectivity issues! Works great, it is easy to store to the side and hide. You can barely notice the modem.

It turns out 2.4 signal wasn't working when I had the baby monitor on under the old combo box I had through my cable company. So I was forced into this because it had the 2.4 and 5 signal. not everything work on the 5 so I needed the combo. Works like a charm. Wish I gotten this earliar to avoid the monthly rental.

This is one of the best router and modem combo with good range for 2 bed apartment. There are no wifi dead spots and is much more economical than paying monthly modem fees to your ISP

We've had this router/cable modem for three months now and it has worked perfectly with no down-time. Setup was really easy and signal strength is great.

This is a great modem and router combo at an extremely fair price! They priced matched it for me so I got it at a really good price! The 5 Ghz wireless does great! That band picks up just fine in my entire place and through speed tests there is basically no drop in speed compared to a wired connection! The other wireless band still has a great range and speed though! If I had to guess that band has less than a 1% decrease in speed compared to wired connection, so still great to use! Just where the 5 Ghz picks up fine I just use that on all the stuff that is capable of it but would be just fine if I have to use the 2.4Ghz band! Works fine with my time warner cable!
