Fast speeds and works well through our large 5 bedroom house. Even works in the backyard furthest from the router.

Easy to setup, won't work with PPTP (Windows) VPN, kept disconnecting WiFi connection on most of my devices at home. Best Buy guys were great on returning this item.

When my roommate moved out, I had to buy another router/modem combo. I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars and so I chose this router. Some of my devices occasionally have trouble hooking up to the internet but normally one of them does. I do live in a house with 2 others and all of us have 3+ devices so I think it struggles to handle that level of connectivity.

Tired of paying rental fee to comcast? Then I say buy this. Great device saves on rental fees, will still need to call comcast to set up but worth it. I even added the 2yr protection plan just in case because of all the money it will save me.

Bought this modem/router cause Comcast made me upgrade to DOCSIS 3. This one comes with dual band 2.4 & 5Ghz but I find myself changing my 5Ghz capable devices back to the 2.4Ghz band due to poor reception around the house. (not a huge one). Overall better speed due to new standards but not better coverage than my old Cisco e1000.

We decided to cut the cable (TV) and watch all of our shows via streaming services so we had to upgrade our modem. We are very happy with our selection. Easy installation and works well. Very reliable so far.

Bought router-modem for use with Grande cable internet instead of renting theirs. Works great except not very strong wi-fi signal reach. I have used it for a month now and no reboots or buffering issues.

I have NO complaints about this gateway. Best Buy price matched it for me and so I got a great deal. I connected it in our basement and it goes through concrete walls and thick floor/ceilings easily! I can even get a signal out in my front yard with it! We power 2 desktops, 4 laptops, 4 iPods, 4 iPads, and 2 iPhones with it. Only one of the desktops is ethernet connected. Everything else is wireless. Fabulous set up and works great! Highly recommend this!

I would recommend this product. My only concern with the Netgear N-600 Dual Band router / modem is signal strength seems a little weak about 45 feet away. However, my devices will work at that distance.

I got this modem in May 2015. Worked great for the covered 90 day period after that you will not get any support from Netgear. The problem I ran into is with the Firmware version. Netgear says this is not something they handle but rather the ISP provider, in my case Comcast. The slowness of speed I started having began when Comcast sent through an upgrade that changed the firmware to a much higher version than what Netgear says it should be. Netgear says to talk to Comcast and Comcast says to talk to Netgear. There is NO option to manually download the correct firmware version for this modem. You are held hostage by these two companies bouncing you back and forth. Why Netgear do you not offer your customers a way to download the proper version of firmware for this modem. Never buy Netgear again. I ended up looking on the Community site on this issue and found out many other folks having same issue. The only resolution is to buy a Motorola modem which is not having this issue. $150 down the drain on this Netgear modem that is a few months old. Save yourself the headache and buy Motorola.

We haven't had any problems with it. We did have to buy a booster because it didn't make it through the whole house, but that is do to a large concrete wall not because of the router!
