Does the Job
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced both my modem and router with this baby, and while it was not a step up as far as tech level (same modem and similar router really, just now sharing the same case) it is performing better than the old ones ever did, connected to my Roku, computer, and iPhone all at the same time with little problem.

Wouldn't recomend or buy again.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even though I have a small home the Netgear keeps dropping its signal and the internet runs sluggishly or slow when more then one person is down loading. I went on the manufactures site to search for firmware in hopes that this might fix my problem but there wasn 't any firmware for this model available. Because of the above and the price I would not buy this again nor recommend it to anyone.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The N600 has lightening speed, but the dual channel part gets complex in that some devices appear have to be preset to one or the other channel names rather than just going with the optimum under existing conditions. Upon installation of this router I've lost the Windows Remote Desktop connectivity that was an important part of my particularly network, and can only attribute this loss to the new network. Worked with Netgear tech support (Philippines based) for a full hour on the problem and we did eventually allow computer 1 to see computer 2 via Remote Desktop for a second before it froze. At that point we'd both run out of patience and the technician blamed the problem on Microsoft. Original old Netgear router had died and I'm considering tossing the new one in favor of the competitor's unit.
