Couldn’t get it to work

WORST NETGEAR Wi-Fi EXTENDER EVER!

Horrible service on phone. Talked to at least 3 people and transferred from one to another and finally person on last call could not hear me. She would call me back and not hear me. Spent $ 150.00 for this worthless piece of trash. WARNING: not worth your time and money! Ended up purchasing another Wi-Fi extender with another company and it worked within 5 minutes.

Netgear Proved the Importance of Buying From Best

I worked for over two hours with a Netgear tech, who was also stumped. I returned the Netgear AX1800 the next day. I got a full refund with no problems at all, from Best Buy. That's good customer service to me.

Not sure what is happening

Plugged it in, got it programmed and setup and it worked great. Then randomly my wifi in the entire house would crash, did that for a week. I unplugged this and the wifi immediately quit crashing

Slowed Internet

Didn’t see an appreciable improvement. Returned it to Best Buy and bought a new NETGEAR modem and eero router instead. Seems to be working fine in our 2,800 sf house.

I Would Recommend You Buy Something Else

I spent several hours trying to connect and mesh with no luck. I thought it might have been user error, but after having several others try, we all came to the conclusion that this is not a user friendly item and is utter crap that will leave you frustrated a d ready to pull out your hair. There are also some serious security implications that make it difficult to support such a product.

Not able to see extender wifi and set up

Well Netgear_Ext does not show up at a network on any of my devics so I can't set this up. there is no solution I saw online - this issue is NOT my wifi network strength. I can try getting an ethernet cable (like it's 2010 not 2022) but why do I need old tech to set up a new device ??
