I bought this modem to replace one I was renting. Modem itself worked great, however the wifi was spotty. It would drop once in a while. Maybe it was an isolated incident. Needless to say I returned it. Give it a try if it works great if not then you have that 14 day policy.

After purchasing this router I found that I along with other family members would lose our WIFI connection every 3 days or so. We would have to either turn the router off and turn it back on and often times reconnect our devices to the internet, after trying to determine if this was the router or the cable companies issue, the cable company stated that if we were not losing signal on our desk top computer and only losing it on the WIFI connected devices it was likely a router issue, called the Geek Squad, they offered to come out and check it for approx. 150.00 (more than the cost of the router) I declined that kind offer. I called the manufacturer, he walked me thru 2-3 settings and it has been over a week and it has been working fine ever since. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, I generally have 3-4 devices connected via WIFI at once, two story home, when it's connected it works fine. (Using with a local cable provider to save on the rental fee monthly)
