Would recommend to anyone looking for such a product

It was needed for Direct TV, the Kindle Fire, and other computers in the house.... and needed a larger range due to having a larger home. It works, just wish it cost a bit less and covered longer range/stronger signal. But for the money, it's a decent item.

I would purchase this product again. No complaints.

boy was this a pain to set up. but i am not a computer nerd either. i think it was att. but once figured out the install was easy. set up...not so much. again i think it was att. i put it back in the box till later on when a nerd friend can come help.

This router if great for the business or for home.

I have had this router for 3 years now and it still works like it did on day 1. The dual band 2.4ghz/5ghz options are amazing as you can now seperate your devices by using mobiles on the 2.4 and LAN options on the 5. I get up to 110mbps on LAN and 70-80mbps on WI-FI. (Cox Communications) When I moved to my new house last year, I was having speed issues with it because an older router was still being used as the main point of entry. This router should replace your main router, not used as an additional connection, it would be a waste since the throttled connection would never give the Netgear router the chance to perform. Definitely recommend buying.

I have struggled connecting the new router to my cable modem. Precisely I have not been able to get my Apple Laptop to recognize the new router. I have called Net Gear, but all of their suggestions did not solve the problem. I will likely have to pay as much for getting help to come and assist in installation as I paid for the router. I am assuming the problem is with me not understanding how to install (I was able to install previous router with no problem) and not a flawed new router. The instructions provided I think are sparse and vague.

The router doesn't allow network communication to the printers. Have spent numerous hours trying to make this work with no success. I'm thinking about returning it and going back to my previous router.

The router promised to email me logs of all activity. What I didn't learn until too late is that the only people who can use this function are those who don't have Comcast as a provider. The email log function is set to use port 25 and is not able to be changed. This is very unfortunate because Comcast blocks use of this port. So I spent more than I intended for this added functionality that I am unable to access. I would have returned it if I could have, but I didn't learn this until after the 15 day return period had passed. I am very disappointed in this purchase.

We thought it would speed things up a lot but we don't see much difference than what we had. Works well, but we were wishes for a bigger change in speed. That of course could be our Comcast.

have to reset often, connection is not as dependable as previous versions. like the netgear genie it makes correcting the issues easier

The product was faulty I returned it it did not hold I would continually go to LTE when I was only a room away it was not working properly so I returned it

It works fine, but we have to reset it frequently. I'm not sure if it's our provider or the router. I do like how it's upright on a stand.

It works great but as I said expected broader range for the price that I paid.

Bought this router to replace the Cisco Valet Plus, which was causing issues when multiple family members were on the net. All you have to do with this router is unbox it and hook it up, it found my internet right away and came with a security code already installed, or you can change it to something else. With the Cisco we had a speed test of down load 4.5 Mbps and up load of 4.8 upstairs away from the router. With the NETGEAR N900 we had a down load speed of 7.8 Mbps and up load of 5.0. While this may not be the fastest speeds as we live in rural setting it was quite an improvement for us. With the old router we experienced issues with multiple deceives trying to log onto the system, no problems with the NETGEAR N900 it allows as many devices as you want to log on at the same time with no lag or logging issues. This is the best router I have personally owned for ease of set up, operation, power, and speed. It’s a chunk of change upfront but with most things you get what you pay for and with this router it worth the extra money.

I bought this so I can get streaming into a bedroom 20 feet away but through 2 walls. YEA, I can get streaming video to my Blu-ray player!
