We bought this to replace one we had had for years -- we were losing internet service multiple times a day and I would have to go reset the router. We've had absolutely no connectivity problems since installing this router.

The router was easy to set up and use with just the quick start booklet. The online update process was easy and the tips provided were helpful. The only down-side is that the extended range promised still did not provide good coverage throughout the entire house, especially to the basement.

It was very easy to install, and extended the range of my network to about double the radius of my previous network. It has never crashed, a seemingly constant problem with my old router.

This router is an excellent router - by far the best I've used so far. It was extremely easy and quick to set up since it already comes with a preset network name and network key, which would be very handy for those who aren't comfortable securing their network.
The interface program that you download "Netgear Genie", is very easy to use. This product also has great features such as dual band, data monitoring, and cloud capabilities by hooking up your own USB storage device to the router.
This router is probably not for those who aren't going to take advantage of the additional features, though. It's a somewhat pricey router, but I think it's worth it if you use the features.

I put this router on the first floor. It's noticeable that the speed is much faster than my Motorola (short-lived for 2 years). However, for whatever reason, the signal seems interrupted on my iPhone every now and then when I am on the second floor. I still like the product though.

I previously purchased the model one step under this one, and had an awesome experience. When it came time to upgrade and replace, I purchased the faster model, and I'm glad I did. It's a strong signal through the whole house, even 2 stories above it. Worth the money, and then some

The first day and a half I had issues -- my devices didn't want to stay connected (this was never a problem with my previous Netgear router unless the entire connection was gone) but everything sorted itself out and now we are operating without issue. Good value in terms of price paid.

I chose this router because it seemed to be the best choice without going to an AC router (which I couldn't take advantage of anyways). It is reasonably priced and has better range than expected. The two separate channels are helpful if you run a lot of devices, but the biggest upside to this router compared to previous routers I've owned is reliability. It does not drop it's signal very often, and handles several devices (I have about five plus mobile phones connected) easily. Range is very good, but not excellent. The setup process is easy enough, although initial set-up was slow (I am really nitpicking here). Overall a good product for the money.

I am not very up to date on wireless routers as my Internet provider has always provided me with a wireless modem/router in the past. We recently moved and I was forced to go buy my own wireless router. This router is great, the dual band feature is wonderful and unlike the issues we had with the old wireless modem/routers, company is always welcome to connect to our wifi. We had always needed to monitor how many devices were connected to our old system but not with this router. We can actually let the people who come visit connect to our wifi now without worrying about bogging down the system. Overall a great router that we are very pleased with.

Well, the last time I had to setup a router was "way back when" and it was a total PITA. This new router was a breeze to setup in literally minutes and it works just as it should. What more can an old guy like me ask for?

I previously had a Netgear WR3500 router that worked flawlessly for the 4+ years that I had it, so I immediately went back to the Netgear brand for a new router when my wife's new laptop had difficulties connecting and staying connected to the old router. I did some basic research and settled in on this N900 router.
The product installed and was operational in a very short time, no problems whatsoever. I reconnected all of my families' laptops very quickly and easily too. I moved my son's Xbox to the 5 GB band of this router and he noticed an immediate performance improvement with downloading some game packs. Overall, I am very pleased with this router!

I got this to replace my old D-Link 108G MIMMO router. The D-Link was only a/b/g, my internet connection was slow, and did not have the latest security standards. This is much faster, the latest security, and the Netgear Genie app replaces the no longer supported, Cisco Network Magic.

I bought this router to replace my old Linsky router. I have 30mbps but when my links router went out on me without me knowing I was blaming the cable company this whole time when it was really the router. I was running speed tests at 12mbps. After I bought this new net gear router, speed tests read up to 35mbps! Extremely happy! My laptop, phones, and smart tv is running great off of this router and I am very well satisfied.

Overall, the router is extremely easy to setup if you have done it before. If you haven't set a router up before, the directions are still pretty easy but just count on a little time.
We have a 3,500 sq ft house and the router is on one end. We have multiple mobile devices (phones, computers, tablets) and a tv devices. It provides a great connection to everything we have. During the month we have had it, I haven't experienced any problems playing movies, games or downloading files.
I have not used it to the fullest yet by connect a printer or external drive to the router, but I feel when I get to that point, there won't be any problems either.

Needed better and faster wireless connection in my home, and this easily met the need. Quick to setup. Much better coverage and associated with that, better wireless speed.
